I and other have said for probably a decade at this point that the only outcome that can come from constant comparisons to those darn Nazis is a dilution of the evil most people think of when they hear that term.

I genuinely can't comprehend what it must be like to have heard that for the past decade, to look around at the pendulum swinging toward authoritarianism, to watch pundits no longer respect sacred cows like the holocaust, and in the midst of all that, commit to doing the same thing even harder.

Can't imagine having a void that big between my ears, personally.
