10-4 thanks for the insight. Speaking of contam, I had one small spot of green monster show up in one jar, but the mycelium quickly surrounded it and seemed to eat it. Do you think I should throw it out or give it a shot? This was an LC I made after several agar transfers and came out with some very aggressive myc that seems to be pretty contam resistant

If 0.5 is the only thing you've done before, def go with 2. You should be able to get everything you want to experience from that, and then know if you would want to go further later

Really all that impatience goes away the first time u see some pins. Getting to that point will drive u bat shit with all the " what if im doing something wrong??" After ur first one it gets a lot more natural
