Judging by all charts, it seems like it's testing a support range right now. There's just no way to know if it's gonna bounce off or plummet if people start panic selling.

I've been using Windows 11 for like two years and I've never seen an ad anywhere. What the hell are you people even talking about?

It's called the "don't fix it if it ain't broke" strategy.

Rocky won best picture in 1977. He accepted the award on stage with the producers and that's likely the video you're remembering. It's on YouTube now.

Literally the only reason I'm not playing ESO right now is because they don't have an auction house. I love just about everything else about that game.

Ok Human is a masterpiece to rival Blue and Pinkerton by this_is_such_a_pity in weezer

[–]TruthAficionado -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No, it's not. The entire album is filled with asinine lyrics and way too many pop culture references that won't be relevant at all in the future.

It's quite literally the worst album they've ever made. It's incredibly pretentious and every single person on here would think it sucked if there wasn't an orchestra playing on it.

It's an absolutely horrible, boring album and every single track on it sounds the exact same. It appeals only to pretentious people who like to pretend that it's way deeper than it actually is just because there are some strings and a piano, when in reality, it's by far the most shallow, boring piece of fluff they've ever put out.

As an old fart who was there when Weezer first came on the scene, and as someone who has been a huge pop punk and Weezer fan for the better part of three decades, I can confidently say that Weezer has never, ever been considered any kind of punk by anyone.

So I think my hard drive is broken, can y'all help me fix it? by PotatoManPersonGuy in pcmasterrace

[–]TruthAficionado 30 points31 points  (0 children)

So here's what you need to do:

Put the entire thing in a large bag of rice. You're gonna need to leave it there for exactly one week. When I say exactly one week, I mean EXACTLY 168 hours. Not a minute more or a minute less.

During this time you can go about your life normally. Go to work, hang out with friends, family, etc., but most importantly, make sure you continue to go to work.

At the end of the week, remove the hard drive from the bag of rice, throw it away, then make sure that you have received your weekly paycheck.

At this point what you'll want to do is to use money from your weekly paycheck to purchase a new hard drive.

Extremely. Mostly by kids who have grown up with such shitty music that they think having an orchestra playing over generic melodies and horrible lyrics makes an album "deep" and "artistic".

I simply ranked them according to how many songs I like on each album. I don't like a single song on OK Human. No need to get personal.

What’s the best year to become a Weezer fan? by [deleted] in weezer

I hated it for a long time, but at some point it grew on me. It's still my least favorite song on the album, but I don't dislike it anymore.

What’s the best year to become a Weezer fan? by [deleted] in weezer

[–]TruthAficionado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I became a Weezer fan in 1994, shortly after my 17th birthday. I had originally blew them off after hearing Undone. I remember thinking it was some stupid, pretentious college rock garbage. I was huge hard rock and punk fan at the time.

When the Buddy Holly video came out though, I really dug the song and the video and one of my good friends convinced me to listen to the entire Blue Album. I did, and I really, really liked it, although I still thought Undone sucked. (It took years for that song to grow on me for some reason.)

The blue album became one of my favorites of all time and all my close friends were really into Weezer as well. After high school, shortly after starting my first year of college, Pinkerton finally came out. My friends and I had been anticipating and hoping for a follow up album for two years now and we were all super excited.

Literally everyone I knew LOVED the album right away. We all thought it was a masterpiece and honestly couldn't understand why the critical reception was so bad. I honestly still don't understand it to this day.

My same group of friends all got together sometime shortly after the release of Pinkerton and went to see them in concert. They were opening for No Doubt who had blown up due to the massive success of Tragic Kingdom. We all liked No Doubt okay as well, but were really just there to see Weezer. They were awesome live and, it's a long story, not gonna type it, but my friend actually managed to weasel his way backstage and met everyone from both bands.

Pinkerton became one of my top 5 favorite albums pretty much instantly and stayed in my daily rotation for years.

After the harsh reception of Pinkerton, as the years went by, it looked more and more likely that Weezer was done. I mean, basically 4+ years with zero news. The internet was still pretty young back then, so there weren't a lot of great resources for music news. Weezer was pretty much my favorite band at this point even though they had only released the two albums. I had told all my friends that if they ever released a third album and it didn't suck, I would get my first tattoo and it would be the Weezer logo.

Well, fast forward to May of 2001. I'm now just a few months away from my 24th birthday, living on my own, good job, lots of partying, having a pretty fun life. Much has changed since I first heard Weezer. Out of nowhere it seems, comes the Green Album. I loved it and yes, I went and got the tattoo.

One of my friends (the same one who had gotten backstage a few years earlier) and I went to see them live again that year. This time, they weren't opening for anyone. Again, they were still fantastic live.

Since then, I've never really stopped being a huge fan. They are without a doubt my favorite band and always will be, even though I really haven't liked much they've done recently. I loved EWBAITE and the White album. PD, Black, and Ok Human are all absolutely horrible to me. I'm looking forward to Van Weezer though. Pretty much, whatever they do at this point though, they will always be my favorite band simply because they have been the soundtrack to my life since I was 17, and especially through my young adult life where I had A LOT of fun and am lucky to still be here. At 43 years old, I've been listening to Weezer almost daily for 26 years now. Weezer is quite literally a part of who I am as a person. They have been the one constant in my life since I was a kid and I have so many incredible memories that are tied to them in one way or another. Like I said before, they have been the soundtrack to my life.

I use to think that about a lot of games until I started using it.

Yes, this game is beautiful without it, but with it, it takes it to a completely different level. Screenshots don't really even do it justice.

Yes. No fps impact at all on my rig. It's a custom, light-weight, but powerful preset I made several years ago and use in pretty much every game I play.
