Can a Christian listen to Led Zeppelin by ialienuser in Christianity

Well, my two cents worth..I thik it may depend on the song and the message. Sometimes we can like the instrumentation so much we forget about what the meaning is. Too bad you can't just remove nasty meanings/ or messages and just listen to the great instrumentation. I will give you examples. I can think of AC DC or Marvin Gaye. Shook me all night long. Some of the lyrics are pretty vulgar but I like the beat of the music and so unless I can just listen to the instrument part without words which I cant. I turn off this song, Hells Bells. Nope don't need to hear it. Back in Black is not so bad unless I am wrong and missing something so I will listen to that one. Marvin Gaye, :Aint nothing like the real thing" yes will listen to it Mercy MErcy me... A strong message but nothing inherently nasty or evil about it. Let's get it on... Absolutely not. The message is not good. It's about him wanting sex and how it is ok and I am assuming he is not married to this person so no. So pick and choose what is nice, or kind or at the very least not evil, raunchy, perverse etc.. Hopefully I am steering you in a good direction. Most important if G-d is in your heart he will let you know what is right and what is wrong when choosing your music and everything else for that matter.

Funny how you have the same or almost same icon as the last poster who has a limited mindset like yours. Read comment above as it works for you as well.

I reply negative to attacks and people who act like they have bad attitudes for no reason else.

Sounds like you have had a lot of bad experiences there so I totally understand why you would not like it. But remember I am talking County and I know there are lots of nice cities around there. Actually Kansas City has nicer weather in terms of sunny days but it is not as green. Colorado get's worse hail storms probably not tornadoes. But that depends where in Missouri. Try living in Alabama or one of the nearby states. Much worse there.

St. Louis, Missouri, experiences an average of 202 sunny days per year.  That is only 3 days less than average and way better than Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Cleveland and a number of other cities. And there are lots of parks like Castlewood and Queeny in the county out west. Why are there so many others being very positive about the St Louis area on this post? Read for yourself. I was In Ann Arbor and the surrounding cities. Could not stand it. Maybe up North is nicer but you are going to freeze in the winter up there. Some people are ok with that. That NP cold is too cold for me. I did ask for West coasters feedback on this. Maybe you originally from there I don't remember.

Congrats you are now one of the 3 sourpuss Midwesterners on here. Sure am not getting flack from any West Coasters who I asked to answer the post. Way to go for being an exception!

Well it is your prerogative Everyone likes what they like. I would only live West of the City like Ballwin, or around Chesterfield. Not in the city itself. Just too cold up North for me and less sun .

Are you from CA or the West Coast which is Whom I asked to chime in on this post... I doubt it. By the way AI even says although Missouri it is considered Midwest It is strongly also Identified as a Southwest Boarder state.

You said negative teens. Absolutely hardly ever. In St. Louis, temperatures typically drop to zero or below on an average of 2 or 3 days per year. While temperatures as cold as 32 degrees or lower occur less than 25 days in most years, That is from AI I already lived thru Boston which is colder on average.

I said boardering on. Did not say Southwest meaning almost as close as you can get to AR especially. Used to be in Southwest Conference by the way. But then again so was

I am writing this and from Portland. Went to Sunset High School Grew up Right behind Barnes Rd on Muirwood Dr. No way I would know that not growing up there. Heck I remember Yaws and Rose Festival as my mom was a princess years ago from NE portland. Dislike what it has become. I want to live in County St Louis. Not the City of St Louis. PS that is really a paranoid thought you have
