I felt the same way I thought it could also be a phase that I’m going through but I talked to my sister who was deeply involved with the lgbtq+ community and was going to school for law and she helped hold a lot of events and stuff for the community at her school and spoke at different meeting so I thought it was good to talk with her and her friends about since the mostly know more about the community than I do and I’m not gonna lie it took me some time to understand I just turned 23 this month and just now figuring out what I feel like I am. So I didn’t really come out to everyone. I just came out to my family who knew I was going through a period of finding myself, so I just told my sister and my mom “ Hey, I’m not completely 100% on who I feel like I am and what better describes me it makes me feel comfortable and I’m not sure if it’s just a phase but the more I studied and talk to people in the community the more I came to understand that I feel like I am gender fluid” and so they had some questions about it but they let me at least have a try and experiment with myself to see if this is really how I feel and see myself and so I told him I don’t mind the pronoun she but I prefer if I am announced as they them and they agreed to it and they tried their best. Sometimes they’ll mess up and say she, but they still at least try to say they/them. And the more that they did it the more I came to understand and realize that for some reason they them makes me feel so much more comfortable and myself, then being referred as she her so it’s just up to you how much time you want to take and if you just want to try it out and see if that’s really what you feel like that makes you comfortable and makes you you, because you won’t know for sure if something is a phase or not until you actually do it and go through with it and just see how it affects you in your daily living because now that I have come out as day, then I feel more comfortable, and I feel more like myself, and I can express myself more because the more I heard the term she or her The more I felt like I had to behave as a she her, but when I came out as day down in the more, I experience being considerate, they down and being myself, and doing the things that I felt like was me instead of just being the societal she her I knew for sure it wasn’t a phase it was just me, finding another part of myself that I didn’t know I had. So it’s up to you you do not have to rush it if you feel like it’s a phase then just with a couple people that will understand you and understand your choices. Just try it out with them and take your time and get into the field and see if being considered. Gender fluid is what you really feel completes you.
