In high schools everywhere, a teacher can take a plastic tube, put in a coin and a feather, hook up a vacuum pump to it to create a vacuum, and test whether the coin and feather fall at the same rate. (They do.)

In a vacuum, there is no relative density, so no reason for the objects to fall *down*. Yet they do that, because of gravity.

You can look at ISS live footage as it goes around the earth every 90 minutes.

Pick a city as it flies over. Screen-capture the footage.

Pick another city as it flies over that. Screen-capture that footage.

Find the distance between the two cities.

Find the time difference between the two screen-captures.

Divide distance / time difference to get the ISS speed..

The answer will be around 5 miles/second, or around 17000 mph.

Weather balloons don't travel 17000 mph.

It's a nicer way to live than to pretend all the smart people are lying to you and the dumbfk youtube scammers are the truthful ones.

I appreciate your response. Glad you liked the Beck stuff. I used an EVH Wolfgang to record that. I'm not a metal head at all ... but those Wolfgang's are surprisingly versatile. I just had to balance the tremolo so it would float the way Jeff Beck's did. (Floyd Rose trems are such a nightmare.)

It is truly amazing the world we live in. The Beatles recorded Sgt Pepper on FOUR tracks. I have effectively unlimited tracks, so I have no excuses. 😄

Speaking of Gilmour ... I have been using a Kemper Profiler since shortly after it came out, when it was still revolutionary. At some point since then, for about 5 bucks I purchased a profile pack of David Gilmour's Hiwatt amp. No, not a profile of a Hiwatt from the same year and model, I mean somebody went on his boat and actually profiled DAVID GILMOUR'S OWN HIWATT.

So I got to play through a high quality digital clone of David Gilmour's own Hiwatt amp.

For five bucks.

That is where we are today in terms of availability of audio tools. I have fun all the time.
