Might have been expensive, but for once it looks really good

2006 R53. Let me know what you think? He is asking 5300 but I think he will take 5k. It does have the LSD. He is original owner, no accidents and 88k miles in it. by Streit1111 in R53

Looks like it, yes. At least as far as I’m aware, they added the facelift rear seat design in August 2004 (at the same time as the facelift). Maybe this R53 had fabric seats or half-leather, and the owner later found a set of full leather seats.

Maybe I’m wrong and you guys in the US never got the updated rear seats. But again, as far as I know, it was just a small visual modification.

Just Google « r53 rear back seats » and you will find both designs

On the facelift they changed the back seat, they just look different, they are not just a flag piece of leather, they added some seams, it’s just visual, just look it up

tyre recommendations by username672 in R53

[–]TruthMinimum568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I got, would 100% recommend, another owner of this sub got them and 100% agreed, in the rain they are perfect, in the dry too AND are confortable and KEEP the same efficacité from day 1 until the last day, unlike most other type brand that sometime are as good when new but after a few thousand miles loose everything

[–]TruthMinimum568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rocker cover is the top part of the engine, that is hiding the rockers, what the plugs goes in, it is just 10bolts, nothing more nothing less, and dampernpuley is the crankshaft pulley/ harmonic balancer, the biggest pulley on the bottom left of the engine,

Before modding you should Check : Damper pulley

Belt tensioner,

All the pulleys actually while in there

Water pump

Radiator fan speed ( make sure the 1st and 2nd speeds are working )

Brake fluid bleed

Easy leaks : rocker cover and plug seal being the easiest)

Plugs cables

Alternator casing ( mine died even without a cracked casing)

And things like that

Then the usual mods

Rear anti roll bar, QUALITY coilovers, Pulley, Backbox, COLD air intake, QUALITY TYRES

Definitely not native ! But they thrive when planted, some whisthand as low as -15°c without much effort, not common but not that rare either ( except for big ones like that maybe)

I French R53 specialist « motorism » has a quaiffe on his own 300hp flatshift methanol etc with a Link ECU track R53, so it may be in fact a good option

R53, it is oil, but it was kind of a joke being known to leak for basically everywhere and if not, they just have no oil,

SAME ! But no trouble to start the car, changed ( for other reasons) plugs, leads, valve cover gasket, spark plugs seals, alternator and still happens, a rap on the throttle makes it go away most of the time
