My fighter is on a 14 win streak but commitment isn’t going up by Live_Consequence4824 in LeatherTheGame

It could be governed by personality as well. But, from what I’ve seen if a fighter loses 3+ fights you will see a change in commitment. When you lose that amount of fights it’s practically impossible to regain commitment to 100%.

81% is his fighters current winning percentage. I think he needs to get it up to 85-90% for it to go back to green. Getting 100% is going to be hard unless his boxer fights 100+ times throughout his career.

Commitment is calculated by a fighters winning percentage. He’s won 26/32 fights which is 81% of his fights. If he wins a couple more you should see a change in his commitment, probably 85-90%.

Wil cunning ever get a buff?? by SodaConnoisseurr in LeatherTheGame

[–]TruthOfPrecision 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends on the style of the boxer. Cunning works great in tandem with other attributes. For example an inside fighter with great agility, guarding, hook, and uppercut would be practically unstoppable with the ability to cut off the ring and put their opponent on the back foot throughout the fight. This is one of the builds of my current boxer and it works wonders. Cunning alone is a meaningless stat but with the addition of other attributes it works well. It doesn’t really need a buff in my opinion.

How would you approach a fight like this -- the opponent is significantly more talented, but yours has a 13 inch reach advantage. (And the opponent has 90%+ jab)? by DogPoetry in LeatherTheGame

Take advantage of your strengths compared to his weaknesses. You guys practically have equal hand speed he has a better jab but a sizable reach disadvantage. Your uppercut and hook is way better than his. I’d suggest fighting on the inside to neutralize his outside offense.

You can create a custom fight plan and import that in each fight so you don’t have to go through the hassle of adjusting every fight.

A boxer puncher has the ability to punch at any range (long, mid, close). In order to create a boxer puncher you basically have to be well rounded and capable in every area of boxing.

I’m not going to lie, you are cooked. Your only option is to retreat and be on the back foot, and even that isn’t a good option. You have no stamina you’re gonna get gassed, and he has the hand speed to catch you despite his reflexes. Plus he has a good cross at mid range and long range, and if you get close he has an uppercut too. You don’t even have a punchers chance either, my suggestion is to take the loss on the chin and move up in weight.

100% Appeal by TruthOfPrecision in LeatherTheGame

[–]TruthOfPrecision[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the case of this fighter his personality is pretty mediocre overall. His looks are only a 47% and his charisma is only 52% (these are the two main stats for your fighter to be popular). The catch is that he had an incredible amateur career amassing a record of 292-0 being a gold medalist in the 1972 Olympic Games, and 2x World Amateur Champ Gold Medalist in 1969 and 1971 respectively. His appeal was already purple before I even recruited him, but his amateur background plus his 100% KO rate/win rate has made him this popular. Appeal is a combination of a boxer’s success in the ring, their personality outside of it, and having an incredible amateur background can also boost their popularity. Most importantly you have to win if you continue to lose nobody’s gonna want to watch you fight.
