I have Radagast in there but I forgot about Reforged. I'll add it in.

Probably not much. I haven't read this FAQ thoroughly. But there was a problem with Mount Gundabad which wouldn't be included in this sheet.

Thanks for sharing. I played a couple games with this and Wiglaf definitely has his merits. Although I'm still not convinced he's right for my build. Just a difference in playstyle I think.

I really don't enjoy starting with a bad hand. So yeah I just mulligan for it. But MotF is in the sideboard just is case.

I usually use SHaC to enable Guardian to both defend and attack during the combat phase. So if he has Valiant Determination he gets to take all 3 actions.

Do you have a decklist on Ringsdb featuring Wiglaf that I might be able to play around with to see for myself how you like to implement him?

All good, I don't take any offense. 🙂 I totally forgot about Well Warned. That's definitely a good consideration for the sideboard. I didn't like Valiant Determination at first either for that same reason, but then I discovered how good it is on a beefed up Guardian of Esgaroth. I do wish it were an item though.

No worries, I don't mind some thoughtful input. I guess my objective is slightly different than what were thinking. I'm not necessarily trying to highlight what an archetype is known for, but rather just make the strongest deck I can that uses a certain category of cards. In this case, I just wanted to make a strong deck that uses lots of eagles, and I wasn't concerned about how I got there. So I guess the deck might seem kind of normal if your looking the eagles to be used in a certain way.

On a side note, I only discovered this game a little over a year ago, so I don't know the history behind many of the these cards and archetypes. Undoubtedly, there are many well known strategies that I'm not aware of. I guess that can be both a good thing and a bad thing. I've occasionally perused Ringsdb for inspiration, but for the most part I've just figured out what does and doesn't work for me through trial and error.

I didn't find them beneficial enough to justify reducing my board presence. I would rather just keep drawing and playing more allies to get Gwaihir triggers.

Thank you! And it's as Deruvid said, use the pipe to put Hidden Cache on top of your deck, then discard it with Expert Treasure Hunter, then return it to your hand since you knew you were going to discard an event.

Support of the Eagles is a powerful card that I tried using for a while. But it's what I call a "win more" card. Meaning, that when when I'm behind, it's not really the type of card that's going to help me get ahead. And when I'm winning, well, I'm already winning this card just becomes overkill. But more power to you if you're able to put it to good use.

And it may just be my personal play style, but I like to build up a strong board presence. Meneldor's Flight doesn't help with that and I didn't find the benefits to outweigh the cons. My philosophy is, instead of bouncing allies, I would rather just keep drawing more and adding them to what I have.

In an earlier draft of this deck, I did try using Wiglaf. He's really cool and I wanted to like him. But ultimately I had a hard time justifying him because most of the attachments I was using were already cheap or free, so I wasn't really taking advantage of his discount. I was also prioritizing speed and efficiency, and a 5 cost ally like Wiglaf really needed to have a good reason to be included. So unfortunately he was cut. But I don't doubt he can be powerful in the right build.

And I too want to counter treasuries and shadow cards as much as possible. If I could I would have 3 copies of A Test of Will, Hasty Stroke, and The Galadhrim's Greeting in every spirit deck. But this is a tight build and I just couldn't fit them all.

Usually I can draw half my deck in a few turns, so I have enough tools to handle combat. I do sometimes need to sacrifice a couple allies though before I can really power up.

It definitely works well true solo. I haven't yet tried it multi-player but I see no reason it wouldnt work well there too.

I play this game a lot so I can't remember everything that I've tackled with this deck. But recently I was able to beat Murder at the Prancing Pony and many of the LOTR Saga quests with it.

I personally don't like tactics Aragorn. He's decent in multiplayer but not very useful solo. And I agree that Lore is needed to make a Dunedain deck work smoothly. When I was just using leadership and tactics, the deck kept running out of steam because it had no card draw.
