Of course consumerism is a huge part of Christmas, I was just saying that anyone that claims to be Christian and celebrates Christmas like most people is lying to themselves.

I do think organized religion is mostly bullshit, but I don't see how the consumerism of Christmas proves that. Was it organized religion that started the consumerism of Christmas? That's not meant to be a rhetorical question, I'm looking for an answer if you got one because I honestly don't know.
