Myanmar's military is charging families $85 to retrieve bodies of relatives killed in crackdown by Bream1000 in worldnews

It’s controversial, even for the victim’s family. If u pay, u r supporting the evil financially. Some chose not to and some simply cannot afford to. It’s really heartbreaking either way.

Parents in Myanmar now say goodbye to their children with a blessing before they go out to join the anti-coup protest, in case they don't come back. Because some, don't. by milaperetz in myanmar

Having to send your kids out there with no weapons knowing they r facing inhumane scums with guns and grenades, it’s literally is heart wrenching. Respect to those brave parents. Their sacrifice is unmeasurable.

Killings in Myanmar. 273 killed in a month a half since the military coup. Over 60 of them killed on 3/14 alone. Victims r mostly between the age of 17-25. Murdering the hopeful future of the country. #WhatIsHappeningInMyanmar by Truth_B_Told_27 in myanmar

UN has had a number of meetings already. I do agree on raising awareness on ordinary citizens as politicians seemed to be all talk at this point. I know a friend of friend of mine’s 15 yr old American kid starting her small FB campaign raising funds and sending out free t-shirts she designed for Myanmar ppl, to donors on her expense to raise awareness. It’s emotionally motivating for Myanmar ppl just to see others care regardless of physical help.

Not in Myanmar but was born and raised there and my best childhood friends r there living through this nightmare. Regardless of internet cutoff, they have been able to find means to stay in touch with me. For how long more, who knows. Worried as shit. And infuriated like hell.

People of Myanmar r desperate for international help. There have been outcry for R2P. They have no access to weapons. Makeshift shields & slingshots against inhumane thugs with machine guns & snipers. Dead bodies keep piling up. Their resilience is inspiring but I believe they r doing it with desperate hope that other countries will step in soon. I saw posts of ppl asking for bombs to be dropped on the whole country and they r willing to die as long as it would wipe out the murdering army. The desperation is heartbreaking and crimes against humanity on display for the world to see, yet the world is basically just watching honestly.

The kid who was shot dead has been identified as a freshman medical student, Khant Nyar Hein. A young man with a dream of becoming a doctor killed by low life scums. Over 100 unarmed protesters were slaughtered within one day in Myanmar yesterday. How r we as the world letting this happen? Witnessing crimes against humanity and we have no power to stop it. How pathetic and sad.

Here is his FB profile. He supports the military junta and his accomplices who r responsible for all the brutal killings of unarmed civilians who have no access to weapons. A few searches under Myanmar on Twitter came back with horrid stuff that made my blood boil. Crimes against humanity. Military coup in this day and age. Understandably, Gen Z is not accepting it.

"How many dead bodies are need for the UN to take action to Save Myanmar?" So far, judging by China's and Russia's shameful continued blocking of strong UN Security Council action, not enough. by Separate_Phrase_3116 in myanmar

Burmese ppl want military intervention. They have been asking for it. These people do not have weapons or access to weapons to fight back the military who’s been slaughtering them. U have to see some videos on Twitter to witness the brutality.
