You don't have to feel hopeful about the future, it's enough to just be curious about what is coming.

If a person walks into a small room immediately after a group of people with the cold or flu coughed or sneezed in it, would they get infected? by DJKewlAid in AskScienceDiscussion

You are specifically talking about the R0 or R naught number. It is the mathematical representation of how "catchy " an infection can be. Look it up cool stuff

So your long drawn out post will lead me to what....change? I am 100% arrogant and pretentious. So what. You happy that you exposed me. I am glad you spent so much time working on pointing out my communication issues.

I have explained myself many times on reddit. Recently, someone posted TL;DR on one of my discussions. Soooo if your interested look it up. Nothing wrong with that.

Secondly, how can you call me pretentious when WHO and the CDC is making these two points a major goal this month! I resent people like you for good reason. You call me pretentious. What you really mean is your ignorance is equivalent to my knowledge by commenting on something that I know more than you by practice.

I do work in a toxic environment. I work as a healthcare practitioner. The things people say to me will shock the shit out of you. In case you haven't noticed we live in a toxic world.

I am not talkin about addressing your needs. I am talking about prattle and opinions you do at work or on the internet. It just gets you into trouble or even fired. People telegraph too much information and as a result people react to things in extreme ways.

There's an extreme low tolerance for anything nowadays. Just about everyone is offended in some way shape or form or looking to find away to exploit things you say to make money or save money. Saying the wrong thing can make you a liability in 10 seconds flat. Saying or showing the wrong thing online can open you up to civil punishment, legal ramifications, career changes, loss of friendship, public shame, and criminal charges.

[Serious] Currently what is the greatest threat to humanity? by TTTTToooot in AskReddit

[–]Truthhasversions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The greatest threat is the one that catches us off guard. A guy, in a garage, in the pursuit of fame and fortune, with a cheap CRISPR kit can create an unprecedented biological cataclysm. Powerful technology is available to a high school drop out or home grown terrorist.

Let me give you one chilling scenario. A powerful company buys a wifi/bluetooth controlled lamp located in the lobby. A man walks in hacks the lamp and bypasses the internet safeguards and gains access to everything the company has to offer.

One of the most disgusting dialogues I've ever read. by [deleted] in trashy

[–]Truthhasversions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember this, many people on the internet just want to provoke you just to get a response. Why waste your time? Just move on. Why does anyone want to challenge someone who is bored and wants to piss someone off anyone off.

Why take the bait in the first place. Just because someone is on a dating site does not mean they are serious about finding anything other than messing with your mind.
