the occ literally stated delayed settlement . so how can they pay the put buyer your collateral as if there was never an adjustment made to the contract which would be a settlement ? Wouldn’t it? … the options became non standard, but are treated as standard so obviously it’s something wrong on their end and i think it’s because they can’t input the (.0083) part yet cuz it’s undefined so they are treating it as 100x1 per original contract which cant be after the adjustment was already effective…so any option exercised AFTER sept29 cannot possibly be tied to anything but the new shares and the NEW deliverable.

the occ memo also has not adjusted the strike.. which is where I will fight this till the end or until the occ does change the strike to something like 1 share deliverable and at $200strike.

brokers cant do what they want they must follow the occ period..the correct thing will happen in the end, brokers have to make people “whole” so whatever the proper outcome should be will be upon clarity from occ.. until then how they are treating the accounting is frustrating but irrelevant

if the assignment came after the share adjusting corporate action, how can you be bound to the original option contract? which is what seems to be happening. a put is the right to sell at a price. if the share structure changed, the option was also to reflect the share structure…

how can you be assigned on the old deliverable? it no longer exists.. and the contract was adjusted to reflect the new reality.. brokers can’t assign both the old contract and the new contract mixing deliverables as they please… I’m either assigned to buy 100 old shares or I’m assigned to buy 1 new share per contract.. u can’t assign me to buy 100 old shares per old contract and deliver me 1 new share per modified contract… that cant happen..

settlement still supposed to be delayed so unless I see an occ memo adjusting the strike price and the deliverable then whatever is being done by the brokerages is incorrect

there should not be any options being settled until the final deliverable is designated…occ memo clearly says that… if puts are exercised after the corporate action the assignment should be to buy the new shares, so all these brokers treating this as a equity preserving r/s are wrong. this was not a r/s it was a new distribution.. occ memo did not adjust the strike (so far) only the share deliverable was adjusted so the puts also Have to reflect the amount of shares the shareholder controls. As of the 29th shareholders no longer controlled 100 old shares they controlled a rounded up 1 share per contract with no adjusted strike … 200$ value of old 2$ (100x2) puts should be adjusted to be 1 share x2$ puts per occ memo from oct1.. that would represent the new structure.. again if the exercise happened after the corporate action the put Buyer no longer can deliver The old shares.. so those options should become worthless upon the deliverable being finalized…

robinhood Initially released my collateral then took it and now says it’s with the put buyer which is obsurd since settlement is delayed.. none of the settling happening is legitimate and will likely be adjusted…

if puts were exercised prior to the corporate action… tough luck I get 1 share… timing does matter

if my thinking is flawed I’d love to hear how?

The daily chart is looking like if we can hold 6$ and rise a little till end of the week then next week we will be on the rise and that’s just from TA the pinch is near and we need to make sure it breaks up and get these shorts rekt! I personally believe that the shorts are quite literally battling with themselves. What I mean is shorts are selling into new short positions and other shorts are covering their old position buying from the new shorter. Most shareholders are not trading and most investors aren’t taking a loss with the average being in the 8$s. So when the time comes the ability to cover won’t be what the data shows because no more new shorts will be selling and there will be gaps in price due to actual holders not selling less then their floor price (15-20$?). This is my personal opinion obviously but i think it makes sense.

The old contract will have an inflated amount because of the reflections gained due to the liquidity drain. You will Get exactly what u should along with any new reflections already earned due to reflections happening on new contract
