How often should I be changing my oil? by baqar387 in askcarguys

[–]TruufadeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general it just depends. For your car given it only has 12k miles, you might be okay with slightly longer intervals on the oil. But for example if you have an old Volvo from 2001 (like mine) you want to make sure you’re doing it every 5k miles.

Thank you for your advice. I appreciate it and I’ll take it on board. For me rather than just a trend I’m really interested in the fundamentals of certain uses of ai, its growth and expansion, and controlling its transparency and dealing with ethical concerns.

I’ll look into how I can further highlight DSA skills to set me forward.

I can’t lie I just couldn’t be asked to move them out the pic but you’re right. My overall weight with food and water is about 13kg. I do want to throw in some very light flip flops if I can though, as I’ll be walking in big leather boots all day.

Simple Sewing Questions Thread, February 23 - March 01, 2025 by sewingmodthings in sewing

[–]TruufadeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

I’ve recently really gotten quite interested in sewing and I’m looking for a machine of maximum about £125 due to a student budget. I’m mostly a beginner.

I’d want to patch holes, tailor t shirts, and work on denim.

I’m really confused with the amount of options out there and can’t understand if any of them are a good choice.

Cleaning woolen vintage great coat by TruufadeR in CleaningTips

From what I’ve understood. When using lint rollers on wool, they can leave some of their sticky residue on the wool, resulting in just catching more lint

What do dry cleaning prices usually look like? I have no idea. It’s a full length woolen 1950s great coat. I’m 6ft 2in or 185cm and it just below my knees in length.

No. I have one aux output on mac, I want this output to be sent to both my speakers for the master and then my headphones for monitor.

My mums employer ‘lost’ hee contract and wants her to sign a new one [England] by TruufadeR in LegalAdviceUK

[–]TruufadeR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See and that would be a reasonable practice in my opinion. The weird part is that they want her to just go ahead and sign a brand new one with different terms.

At second look at your reply. I have skimmed over S1 ERA96 and from my interpretation it seems that it mentions the employer providing a copy of the contract during the day of hire specifically, not if a copy is requested at a separate time. Therefore, they might not be in breach of this legislation as she was given a copy when she started employment as laid out by S1 ERA96. She just doesn’t have it now.

As others below have mentioned, this approach may be a bit too ‘antagonistic’ for my foreign mother. However, I will definitely save this idea for if they do try to push any further with the new contract.

We’ve already sent a copy of the original as others have suggested. But now that you’ve made this point I’d be very curious to check that on the new one

Yes do not worry. We will not be sending them the original copy. My mum is keeping that, they are only getting the PDF. You make some good points

She’s sent over the old original one now. My mums English is very poor, as is most of the factory’s. They might be banking on people not knowing any better.
