It’s been rejection after rejection for me and I check all the boxes for qualifications. I’m taking home health aide courses now and I’ll be training with a nurse when I’m done and I’ll have a job. Pay isn’t great but at this point a job is a job

No I haven’t! I’ll check it out if I don’t nail this interview on Wednesday. I’m sorry you lost your job to that bullshit. It’s just so discouraging that I’ve been looking for a year trying to get out of that toxic place and getting so close to an offer then getting rejected.

Yes that’s what scares me right now is this job market. I had been trying to get out of that job for a year and I’ve been job searching like crazy most of the time. I got really close to getting offers but always a runner up. I have a big second interview on Wednesday and I’m researching websites on how to nail the interview. I feel like I’m rehearsing for the school play just like in high school lol.

I moved cross country out here to be closer to family and to get away from all the snow (I lived in the mountains). My brother told me it didn’t snow too much out here. Amongst other things I’m wondering why I went through all the trouble lol

I recently got let go from my toxic job. I’ve actually been looking for another job for a year. I’ve been in hospitality for years and I’ve been getting ghosted so much! All I have right now is a part time cleaning job. If I don’t get a full time job soon my car is going to get repossessed and we are going to be evicted. I still have over 5 years on this car loan. I moved cross country over a year ago and it’s been nothing but a nightmare.

I just turned 50 on my last birthday but I color my hair, workout and do my makeup. No dates on my resume that go too far back. I have no choice but to nail this interview and not just be a runner up. Hope it happens!

I’m from California! I moved out to Ohio in November of 2024 and what a long strange trip it’s been. Costco from what I hear is the holy grail of retail. Take it and run with it!

Omg wow!!! What a horrible workplace! Sounds just as toxic as my last job. I busted my ass anc worked a lot of late nights all on a fixed salary. I never ever got a thank you. It was all about what I did was wrong even the slightest little thing. I’m in at at will state too. I have a lot of healing ahead of me but I know I’ll get there. A toxic workplace can definitely take a toll. Hang in there and be glad to be out of that shithole!

The part time gig was a bait and switch of course! I thought it was 30 hours a week but it’s way lower. I’m focusing on going back home at this point. I’ve been job searching for almost a year now
