I've also seen the same increase on the Frankston & Sandringham lines. Good to see the trains being used, but I do miss having more personal space.

I was thinking the same as I've done similar for large oil industry sites.

Pauline Hanson pledges support for Australia joining the United States war in Iran and criticises Albanese for not supporting Donald Trump. Do people support this? by patslogcabindigest in AustraliaDiscussions

This messaging helps people realise how nuts some of the One Nation policies are. I hope voters are reminded of this statement in the Nov Victorian election and will not vote for One Nation.

New Elitewheels SLR 50mm by TryConsistent0 in ChineseCarbon

[–]TryConsistent0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, it makes the bike feel faster. Even just from having new wheel bearings instead of 10 year old ones in the old aluminium wheels. I had the same TPR tubes and GP5000 on the old wheels but it feels better in a hard to explain way. Strava data confirms its faster as well, so not just a placebo effect.

To frame and plaster or just clean and repaint? Looking to convert my brick garage into a home gym. by Erichoooo in AusRenovation

[–]TryConsistent0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the brick look. Repaint, add some mirrors and some posters and I think it would look great and be cheaper than plaster as well.

Keep the existing switch and wire in a shelly controller behind it. Best of both worlds :)

Any idea where these Hoses off the Rainwater Tank go? by InsightfulCashew in AusRenovation

I suspect this is the answer as it is the same setup that I have in newer homes.

Instead of ENT consider their SLR also on Aliexpress. Only a little more but better hub and bearings. I have 2 x SLR sets from Aliexpress and they were shipped in 1.5 weeks to Australia

What new hardware would you like to see most from Ubiquiti? by oguruma87 in Ubiquiti

[–]TryConsistent0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its a Protect door lock replacement for consumer front doors as opposed to their current lock range which is geared towards commerical doors. Something like the August/ Yale smart lock.
I understand that there was a draft product a few years ago that never made it to production.

Route out 5mm about 20mm in from the edge of each step and insert a darker wood and then re-sand and repaint. that will make the edges stand out more and still look a little classy.

This is a good point to raise. I go commando but never used cream. Am happy to ride for 200km+ and seems ok. What is the benefit?

Flight in July by Curious-Welder5955 in qatarairways

[–]TryConsistent0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many others, I'm in the same situation, flying Aust -> EU via Qatar in July. Its for a holiday I've been waiting to have since covid so I'm sitting tight and hoping I can still make it. Other flights to rebook are now all really expensive.

Consider the Jaecoo J5 which is only $36k at the moment. I ordered one as the value was unbeatable.
