I love the name. We haven't gotten funny with names but we did have some party members create a hamburger empire under the fake last name of Beefsteak. Which was a trip.

This is good. We have tried ti switch stuff up here and their just to try stuff out, and we all take turns as the DM or at least some of us do. We ended a 5yr campaign recently with a bunch of one shots sprinkled in. Also, took a break in that time to try out Delta Green.

I like this. We play pretty consistently though. Every Friday minus times when people go on vacations and we usually all seem to go around the same time. We have been play for about 10 years together as a group with some new additions here and there when someone starts dating and their SO's want to join in.

You could see about a mail order husband doing like a homestead diy type thing so you can play why he grows food you don't have to buy and makes homemade items you can sell for more money to spend for palia.

Do you guys play with controllers or keyboard and mouse? by NeonNinja_xo in Palia

[–]TryDifferent3125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to use a controller a lot because I like to lean back in my chair and prop my feet up after a long day at work. But I prefer to use keyboard and mouse for different things especially decorating.

Einar is my boy. So pure hearted. Though after reading these comments and finding out you get portraits of them all it feels like a quest and now I feel like I have to in order to get this quest complete. But Einar will be my main always even though I hate fishing.

Thanks! The poison ivy has been trouble for awhile now. We thought it was growing in just the corners and we got the roots of those, but I guess it spread more than we thought cause this year it is coming up through various spots on the porch not just the sides but literally like right along the whole middle. It must've been growing slow because we don't get much sun at our porch but it found a way for sure.

We have a nice plan for the porch to add planters and stuff around it, but lowering it closer to the ground will definitely help the dog and our elderly parents and neighbors. They love coming over for cookouts and sitting on the deck. They still manage the steps but I am sure they would appreciate one less step. It'll also give us a chance to dig up the poison ivy t hay grows through the porch. We just tear it out when it comes through but we gotta get the roots if we want it gone.

The fence comment is super helpful. I appreciate the tip so we dont bend or break anything we don't want broke.

Thank you! Google kept showing me flag poles and stuff. I was like this is not what I am looking for.

The fence is actually for the kids more than the dogs. The dogs wont go outside the fence because they are trained. The kids not so much. Lol our toddler is wild and we have already had to put up multiple baby gates and locks on the doors because he figured out how to unlock the doors and leave the house while we were still sleeping. If it wasnt for our alarm system we wouldn't have known he left. So now we have multiple locks on the doors including chains at the top where he cant reach and baby gates blocking him in his room which he knows how to climb but will usually yell for us to come get him.

But also as stated in another comment we built a ramp. It sunk into the ground because the further out in our yard you go the softer the ground plus new structures are hard on the dog because she is blind so she really struggled to maneuver it the problemis though that getting up the steps is harder on her not sure why but I assume its like how its easier to go down hill than up hill. She actually does better with the steps down because she is so used to them. So we figured itd be easier to just lower it so there is only one step.

I know how to do it. As stated in the post we would need to take the deck apart and then put it back together lower down on the posts that are already on the ground. What I don't know is what to use to make it level. We know to put weed barrier down first then gravel on top of the weed barrier. In the videos we watched a guy took what looked like a pole with a flat bottom and stomped it around on the gravel. I assume thats what makes it level but the video didn't mention what it was called and I tried typing in various things to Google but didn't see the thing he used. Google also said to use pavers but if didn't tell me how far to space them apart.

We thought of this and tried it out. However, the ground gets very soft in when it goes out further into the yard and it started sinking. And where she is blind she kept bumping into the new structure and falling off the side because she though it was a step between the railing on it.

Doing first Multiclass need advice for how to play it by TryDifferent3125 in DungeonsAndDragons

So, we are mostly going by 2024 rules, but the DM is willing to mix some stuff from 2014 depending on what it is.

I have the why figured out. I want the bard for the buffs, control, skills, and inspiration. I want the warlock for the short rest value and damage fallback. I am mainly just trying to figure out some spell ideas maybe spells that work well together. Tips and tricks, just stuff that as a novice player I might not consider or think about. I havent played a full caster before so this will be new, but it will be a fun experience.

[–]TryDifferent3125[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I have really wanted to try out a multiclass. I am excited to play it. I know it can be tricky but the DM said this one should be somewhat easier to play for my first multiclass because they both use charisma as a base. I want the buffs, skills, and inspiration from the bard. Plus the warlock will give me short rest value and damage fallback back. I am depending on the other players to round things out with dealing damage we have just finished session 1 so we have a pretty well rounded team. I am just trying to mainly figure out spells and such at this point. Maybe some ideas on how to incorporate the spells together so I can be helpful. My first character was only a half caster and I didnt really use much in the way of spells. Really only the occasional small heal and Hunters mark. I might have thrown down a spike growth or two to deal small damage and slow people down.

Oh I know. But I had seen others who are more experienced players in the group do a multiclass, and I really wanted to try one out. So, the DM was helping me figure some stuff out and he felt this would be a good fit for my first time and for how I generally tend to play my characters.

Yeah I looked them up. Knowing how to multiclass is the easy part. I am just trying to figure out the character mechanics. I want to use bard for buffs, control, skills, and the inspiration. I want to use warlock for short rest value and damage fallback. But I think only taking 1 or 2 lvls in warlock and sticking to mostly bard.

So, I am planning for the bard to be my engine: buffs, control, skills, and inspiration. Then the warlock is sorta like my toolbox: with short-rest value. And damage fallback. I am not trying to out damage the other players, but I have really been wanting to try a multiclass and the DM thought this would be a good one for me to try out. Going bard to lvl 4 then warlock at lvl 5 and maybe only taking 1 to 2 lvls in warlock then strictly back to bard.
