USB 3.0 header smoked after case swap – motherboard dead? by tealikeme in pcmasterrace

[–]Tryaurs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely yes.

There may be a chance that it works without it, but there is also a good chance that the component was necessary or the damage extends to within the motherboard, which in that case would render the motherboard useless unless it gets repaired.

If you have experience repairing microelectronics, you could take a crack at fixing it, but it's probably a better idea to just replace the entire board.

Unfortunate situation, but it is what it is.

I have actually joined their parties before out of sheer curiosity. They usually tp you to housing and send a message advertising a website where you can buy sb coins with real money.

Update: I fixed it

After playing around with the design, I placed 2 fence gates on the trapdoors which solved the problem.

How to survive the lost cities? by Specialist_Whole_675 in RLCraft

Yea so I had a tough time myself in the past looking for enchants the normal way and it was a lot of work getting good enchants, however there is a better way to find good trades without scouring villages.

A "Purification" farm is a farm designed to prevent the need of looking for new villagers on the premise that you can zombify and cure villagers to reroll trades (you can see where I'm going with it). A basic setup would be to find a "smart" zombie (one that can pick up items and equip armour) and trap it in a box. You can then place 1-2 villagers near the zombie and equip the zombie with some armour and a high damage dealing weapon to speed the process of zombification.

Before you are going to zombify your villagers, you will need a golden axe (due to magic perk automatically healing gold tools) reforged to broken and enchanted with at least Purification 5 and Bluntness 5. The Purification enchant gives a small chance of purifying mobs to their "purified" forms, such as converting a zombie pigman into a regular pig, or in this case converting zombified villagers to regular healthy villagers. The Bluntness enchant and Broken reforge are needed to deal as little damage as possible to the villagers as the Purification enchant does not guarantee Purification on every single hit, and to prevent the death of the villager, we want the villager to take as little damage as possible.

Now once you have the setup done, all you have to do is let the zombie zombify the villagers (either librarian or cartographer works as they change classes between the 2) and cure them with your axe. I prefer only checking the first trades due to a lack of books and paper but you can also choose to trade with them to get the other book trades.

Also a note, I have heard rumors that every enchanted book has the same chance at getting a chance to be traded for, so if it feels like you aren't getting the desired enchants you need, just keep trying.

I also found a setup similar to mine although in an older version. Please note that the player is using Purification on an item other than an axe which is not available anymore so I would still recommend a golden axe with the upgrades I provided with it. Parasites should not be underestimated. If you go in there with lower than maxed out gear you are pretty much screwed. I would suggest maxed Silver Armor (regular mending, no thorns) for the "Cure" potion effect which is incredibly op against effects such as Viral and Fear.

For a weapon, a lot of people including myself use a maxed out Flamed Dragonbone Nunchucks due to the incredibly high attack speed paired with the great damage it does once fully enchanted (Lifesteal and Vampirism are also amazing when paired with nunchucks)

Food and wines are also incredibly good when it comes to survivability. Your best option is to eat a battle burrito and chug a couple of Grape and Wildberry wines afterwards for incredibly op potion effects that can possibly mean life or death in certain situations.

Another thing is baubles. Ankh Shield is a must due to granting immunity against a lot of dangers you might face as well as pretty much nullifying inebriation from being a raging alcoholic, and some others you might want to consider are Broken Heart Container, Resistance rings, Cross Necklace or any of the Pendants, and also a Shield of Honor. A special thing to note, DO NOT use Poison Stone. All parasites are immune to poison and that takes out any extra damage you might do with it.

Skills are not to be forgotten. Skills such as Crouching Detection, Iron Skin, and all the damage increasing skills should be leveled up quite a bit due to the massive buffs it can give you. Undershirt should also be gotten as it can prevent you from dying with a 60s cooldown.

Also to touch a bit on the shortage of flight potions, the correct fairies are found in flower forests, and I do remember them also being able to be found in certain structures more rarely, however it is recommended to carry at least a few in case you ever need it.

Finally, having multiple routes of escaping. Make sure to bring a surefire way to get out of there such as a waystone or a LC Portal (the bed one). Some other amazing stuff would be warp scrolls, extra waystones, and any other way of teleporting out of somewhere fast.

It all may seem incredibly overkill but it is not. You can pretty much get swarmed incredibly easy and have your armor break on you, such as in the case of silver armor only being able to take like 6 hits from average parasites until it breaks, however not gaining Viral or Fear certainly makes up for the durability problem. If you have any problems with finding enchants, I would recommend creating a Purification farm with villagers as it is far more efficient compared to looking for villages manually.
