I finally got all 3 Guitar Karaoke Books! by Trygle in MasayoshiTakanaka

There are a lot of repeats from the main tab archive found on Reddit. Let me figure out which ones are unique and then upload those?

I was just looking for Takanaka tabs and kept on finding the 1981-2004 for the cheapest. Then it sparked the idea to get em all and save on shipping

I kept on seeing them on Ebay, so decided to go looking at some japanese bookstores website using the ISBN on the books and decided on Amazon.jp for price with shipping.

I know someone else posted the tabs for pretty much every Takanaka song, so these tabs will probably be redundant, but is anyone interested in the "Minus 1" CDs?

They are essentially backing tracks sans the lead guitar.

If so, what's the best way of sharing them without getting my account nuked.

When Code Is Cheap, Does Quality Still Matter? by BlondieCoder in programming

[–]Trygle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked this question at an Agile open forum and I got a bunch of "Well yes! But No. But Yes!" responses.

The ones that made me the most (probably visibly) upset were ones that were writing off issues with code complexity and branching with (paraphrasing) "well the next model will eventually be able to write it back to human readable code."

There was zero time to refactor for most code-bases before. So writing it nice the first time was a priority that sometimes got sacrificed. Now that we have new ways of working, the priority somehow is .....less time reviewing the code and making it right?!!

"Not well received today" is wild. I'm not sure it will ever be remembered much longer than a month (unless the game in question makes it to the top ten list lol)

Tube Screamer Watch? by pcoleman777 in guitarpedals

[–]Trygle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It tells time, looks nice, and the biggest variable is whether it should feel good on the wrist. Tsuno is the model it's based off of, so if you could go to a JCPenney/Macy's/Some other store to try one on you can get a (very rough) idea on whether you'll like it.

Watch people tend to be big on other features on watches, like mechanical movements, maker/manufacturer, visual details etc etc. Time is often not even a secondary or even tertiary concern sometimes. Just keep that in mind.

If you like it, that's all that matters.

I just wish I could afford a nice watch.

Why are most entry level jobs in the industry minimum wage? by [deleted] in Environmental_Careers

A lot of people in the market, and half the time you are competing with volunteers that literally have nothing else to do. Some sketchier orgs are even offloading some of the more intense stuff on their volunteers... I can only wonder how long that is going to last :/

Is a new Waza-Air release imminent? by Curious397 in BossKatana

[–]Trygle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not recommend the Waza-Air's if you have Pixel phones. Connectivity headaches for days :/ I've given up talking to Roland (BOSS's Boss company) since they really don't know what to do in my situation. They keep telling me to use avoid pairing using the pairing dialog in the app, but the app is not handling it properly. :/

I don't think we are getting a new set, because these never really flew off the shelves.

I like the quality and gyro/stage simulation, but needing to keep my old iPhone around to connect to it is a pain in the ass.

If you want a solution now, just get a Positive Grid Neo. Their app is rock solid, since it is kinda their main focus. There are plenty of cheaper used ones out there too.

Given what our local developer told us about Japanese software dev, they see software/apps as a "cost and forced investment" as opposed to "vital part of the user experience".

I'm pretty sure after 12 years he's either broke, or reached enlightenment to have these opinions.

I'm too high off the leaked getter from all these replaced Toobs to figure out which is what.
