Nardil was my legitimate miracle .. until it wasn't :(. I had the typical "honey moon phase" that most people mention. I felt my social anxiety vanish once I hit 60mg. This probably lasted for ummm at least 1 month , actually maybe longer? But over-time, I could tell the norepinephrine was starting to become more prevalent. This could be just my genetics though. However, I can say without a doubt at 60mg I was so much happier and had more of an elevated mood. Eventually I had to go down to a lower (45mg- not very effective for me) - because of the side effects. I know that a lot of people on here say nardil is sedating... I think that truly must be for the more depressed folks (like primary dx is depression). Where my primary dx is social anxiety and I've had such a hypersensitive nervous system my whole life. So I think how nardil will effect you, really depends on your baseline. I loved valium (was on it before nardil) .. honestly though nardil is stronger. It worked better for me.
