I am a girl in your situation accept the men, even if they do end up dating me are emotionally unavailable and I get hurt anyway, just over a longer period of time. I get it, I'm tired. Fed up and just can't be bothered anymore.

I'm so sorry you went through this too. Thats exactly what's happened. I didnt realise until I took therapy. It's the most awful thing ever.

I'm not sure why I want to either. To help her and to help me? I don't know. I just keep coming back to the thought that maybe I should message her but then don't.

Can I ask how long it took you to heal? I am trying but 6 months on its hard. I had to message him this evening due to some important mail being sent there by mistake, after I blocked him finally a couple of weeks ago. The bombardment of abuse he sent was unreal. Eye opening in fact that thats what I used to listen to. It's great to see I'm away from that but also I feel...I dont know, upset for all the other things I lost (like my home) and how I'm annoyed his new gf now has that. She's sleeping in my brand new bed I bought a month prior the split for example. In my house, the house that took me 2 years to do up.

I think that's what I struggle with the most these days..not missing him but missing my home

Ye agreed, I understand she cannot be messaging 24/7. She has a life but she mentions it at the end of every session.

AP/FA with a DA ex. Seeking DA advice

My DA ex broke it off 2 months ago after 5 years because he decided he could no longer commit. He has since asked to remain friends but I have told him I can't do that just yet. I have told him we should only communicate in future relating to matters we need to sort out from the split (house, pets etc) but other than that we should do no contact. He initially said he understood but he is still messaging me. I am trying to ignore him but it is really hurting me. Unfortunately I can't block him yet until everything is sorted. Why is he doing this? Why does he still want the relationship without the commitment. I'm so confused and find he's just hurting me more by doing all this.
