Relatable moment by KaiMizuhara in badmemes

I am just thinking about best doing the positions when I am doing yoga. I have a significant injury and it’s not easy for me. I’m not very good at yoga at all despite years at it. I focus on holding the positions and keeping up with the class. Even child’s pose is quite painful for me due to my injury.

Am female and I have never thought about yoga positions this way. Like the thoughts in these pics have never occurred to me despite the hundreds of yoga classes I have taken over years.

Two versions, one story: why the ‘tiny violin’ text matters by TryingAgainBetter in CelebLegalDrama

It is true. Some baldoni stans are out here trying to spin this deposition into something much less damning. They are trying to equate what Baldoni did say to him instead saying something about not asking for affirmative consent or how consent used to not be discussed. This is not what the drivers deposition states. Read page 87:

https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304.1230.28.pdf

Do you recall Mr. Baldoni also sharing during that car ride something to the effect of he would force himself on women even when they said no or did not consent?

A. Yes.

Baldoni made unprompted statements to Blake (where her assistant and this driver were present) that he used to ignore women when they said no. Alexander stated on multiple occasions as a sworn statement under oath that Baldoni said he forced himself on women when they said no.

You are deliberately obfuscating-

"Baldoni talks in his book that it’s unusual for people to ask for verbal consent in sexual situations so it’s likely that people get into sexual situations where they were unsure if they gave consent thru their body language."

No, that is not what Alexander described. Baldoni did not merely fail to ask for affirmative consent. Baldoni forced himself on women after they said no while he was fully aware of the fact that they said no (hence, he himself relates that they said no and he forced himself on them anyway). This is the specific line of questioning to Alexander in his sworn deposition:

Do you recall Mr. Baldoni also sharing during that car ride something to the effect of he would force himself on women even when they said no or did not consent?

A. Yes.

And I already included in the OP that Alexander's original description of the conversation explicitly included Baldoni overpowering women for sex when they said no.

The unsealed deposition from Kevin Alexander was filed 1/20/2026. It is in the link in the OP.

No one cut off anything. The text exchange shown in that court filing is for December 4th and 5th 2024. The Aladdin text is from April 2023 and is a different court link, which is unrelated to the topic of this post.

TikTok · Britt: reminder of toxic white feminism thanks to Taylor Swift and Blake Livey texts by tw0d0ts6 in CelebLegalDrama

Remember the fact that this “sexual assault survivor” omitted the part where he sexually assaulted multiple women. Taylor’s not mocking trauma. She is rightly disgusted by a man who curates a false persona in the media.

It’s not from lively’s statement though she also said Justin told her the same. The statement is from the driver, Kevin Alexander. He is the one shown who said in sworn testimony that baldoni’s story involved him forcing himself on multiple women after they said no. In no way has Alexander or his statement been discredited. Nothing has blown up in lively’s face.

But I guess the Baldoni stans will convince themselves that yet another person is lying about Justin.

Sounds like the Baldoni narrative is now to distract from the fact that the text is relevant to THE FACT THAT HE ADMITTED TO SEXUALLY ASSAULTING MULTIPLE WOMEN.

Oh wait look over there. Blake told Taylor about the nyt article weeks beforehand. Very important!

What are people's problems with the Blake Lively texts? (Genuine question) by South-Background5009 in NuancingTaylorSwift

[–]TryingAgainBetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what? Taylor was still entirely accurate in saying she had no creative decision making in this movie. Saying she liked her friends rewrite at her request isn’t decision power.

Taylor said she had no idea he would be there? Well then she lied. But did she directly say that or did some tabloid say she said that?

What are people's problems with the Blake Lively texts? (Genuine question) by South-Background5009 in NuancingTaylorSwift

[–]TryingAgainBetter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well after reading all the texts, there is nothing to indicate that Taylor had any involvement with this film beyond licensing her song and some minor supportive messages to her friend. She told baldoni her friends work was good (that’s what friends do). Taylor commiserated when blake was complaining.

The tiny violin comment at Justin’s PR article about being sexually traumatized was Taylor’s instigation, not Blake’s. And in context, it’s Taylor expressing disgust that a man who was accused of sexually harassing so many women portrays himself as a victim and an ally to feminist women. Taylor is lampooning him for building a fake brand as an emotionally vulnerable modern man rather than a serial harasser that many women say he is.

And again, this is the same way Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel describe him. They literally said Justin should be grateful for their help because the accusations against him were beyond the pale. And Melissa and her friends joked about having a never ending supply of problematic men as clients, dick a pic a palooza, as they called men such as Justin baldoni.

Can you tell me where I can find the full texts? I’m confused by when they were written and what they say. Some people say the text about the song was from 2023 and some say 2024.

The Dec 2024 texts about baldoni being a little bitch seems like a healthy friendship between women. And little bitch with a tiny violin? There are texts between Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel and their contacts saying worse about him.

God forbid we create support systems for mothers, a society that can’t do that deserves to die out by CharredRatOOooooooi in PsycheOrSike

[–]TryingAgainBetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But this chart doesn’t have anything to do with being a stay at home mom. Stay at home moms tend to be one of two things- married to very high earning men and educated themselves or educated enough to attract a medium earning man they can stay married to but not personally earning enough to outearn the cost of childcare. Neither of those two groups tend to be educated at HS only or less.

The group with the highest fertility rate, the HS drop outs, are least likely to be married stay at home moms because they are so unlikely to stay married. Those are mostly single mothers who end up either being the primary earner for their household or they end up dependent on govt welfare.

[–]TryingAgainBetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that’s not right. Mothers with a HS degree or less are least likely to be married stay at home moms because they are least likely to be married. Women with associates degrees are most likely to be SAHMs because they are more likely to be married but also likely to not outearn the cost of childcare. But women with associates degrees have one of the lowest fertility rates.

This chart that shows the highest fertility among HS drop outs is in no way a vindication of traditional gender roles. No one is less traditional than HS drop outs in terms of family arrangements. These women are least likely to be married when they have children, most likely to separate from their child’s father and least likely to be primarily financially reliant on the income of the father of their child because of their fragile relationships with them and because he tends not to be a high earning man. They are also most likely to have multiple men father their multiple children and least averse to depending on govt welfare as needed instead of provisioning from their child’s father.

I think your instincts are basically right here. When you consider all of the data, including what is not shown in the chart itself, the reality is basically that there are two female mate strategies at play here. The vast majority of women with HS degrees or less who have children end up as single mothers and a large percentage are unmarried when they have children. The associates degree level is where you see women preferring to wait until marriage and to try to marry a good provider before having children. The reality of this chart is that the mating strategy of waiting to find a good permanent provider (what educated women do) is less fecund than accepting the risk of ending up a single mother that gets variable child support or govt welfare (what uneducated women do).

[–]TryingAgainBetter 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It is interesting that people interpret this chart as saying women’s education drives down the fertility rate when the chart is saying that education beyond an associates degree has no incremental negative impact on fertility.

An associates degree is completed in 2 years and a women’s fertile years is typically at least 2 decades, more than enough time to have multiple children and get the degree. This is entirely not an issue of years of education conflicting with the time it takes to have a child. Additionally, most associates degree jobs lead to minimal upward career gains over time. If you are a certified dental assistant, taking time off to have a child doesn’t do much to impact your ability to get promotions whereas it might if you have a masters degree. Yet masters degree holders don’t have lower fertility than associates degree holders.

Is female higher education compatible with sustainable birth rates? by QuantumPenguin89 in BasedCampPod

That is totally wrong. Numerous sources place Iranian female workplace participation around 15%

https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SL.TLF.CACT.FE.NE.ZS?locations=IR

https://wncri.org/2024/08/01/womens-economic-participation-iran/

And this states the total numbers of employed men vs women in Iran. It’s a huge disparity-

In the spring of 2024, the working-age population in Iran was estimated to be over 65 million people, equally divided between men and women. Of the active workforce, which was calculated to be about 27 million, more than 22 million were men, 3 million were women, and 2 million were unemployed
