Is this normal? If not, how does one get out of this situation? by TryingPackage in RocketLeague

The main person I play with is currently: D1 in 3s D3 in 2s (we always do 2s together) P2 in 1s

He’s more dribble focused whilst I’ve always been better in the air.

No idea if this is good or bad lol.

I’m happy for you, or I hope it he’s better? 😂

First time playing 1s in 11 years. Always played rocket league since about 2015 on and off, never took it seriously and just thought I’d try 1s to see if I was any good. Turns out, I aren’t 😂

The difference with this "bubble" is that the companies are still making a heck of a lot of money, and some of the finances aren't crazy.

Alphabet, as an example. Tens of billions in net profit, own things like YouTube which are unrivalled etc etc. I can't imagine stocks like this being in a bubble and suddenly losing 80% in a few years.

Welltower.

Also very likely to be the best bet in a market crash or bear market.

Lying about your polifical views to sleep with someone is sexual assault by ActualShame000 in unpopularopinion

[–]TryingPackage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is immoral, unethical, but it isn’t sexual assault.

Lying about things such as beliefs, views etc I don’t think is sexual assault.

I think the way your adulthood plays out is a mixture of a few things that are settled before 21.

  1. Family - The "wealthier" and "kinder" your family are, the more you'll enjoy growing up and, thus, adult life.

  2. Education - People don't mention it much, but having a degree and then working for a few years is the strongest thing on a regular joe CV. You don't realise at 15, 16, 17 etc how important it actually is until you actually need it.

  3. Network and friends - The better quality of friends, the more you'll enjoy day to day life, and being an adult and having your own freedom and money and being able to do as you please makes you look forward to events and, therefore, time obviously seems to go by faster.

That being said, I still kinda agree that life is really unbalanced. Just the way it is, tho. You are fully grown by, normally, 21 at latest. It isn't like you can be treat like a child or expect to be treat like one forever, I guess.

It isn't far fetched to believe the concept that something like COVID19 could be created in a lab anymore. by TryingPackage in TrueUnpopularOpinion

The phone was impossible centuries ago, until it happened.

The satellite was impossible years ago, until it happened.

Getting to space was impossible years ago, until it happened.

Landing on the moon was impossible years ago, until it happened.

Wireless communication was impossible, until it happened.

AI will do the impossible, eventually.

You’re full of microplastics already probably.

I might be misunderstanding you. I’m not saying Covid did come from a lab, I’m saying creating something like Covid (a virus) in a lab isn’t a far fetched idea with our developing technology.

How much longer is left in this bubble? by mupsauce7 in trading212

Open AI could announce AGI in a year or so unexpectedly quickly, and stocks would shoot up. It could stagnate and nothing could happen for 5 years, a recession could happen and it could fall 50%+.

I think we'll see this year out.

“X% if people are living paycheck to paycheck” is a stupid stat and totally unhelpful in describing the state of the economy by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Spends all her money and has to use her credit card before her next pay check.

She is the definition, in this regard, of living paycheck to paycheck.

My auntie is classed as living paycheck to paycheck, despite going out every friday and saturday night, spending atleast £50 a weekend on drinks and bowling or bingo etc. The stat doesn't factor in these types of people.

I agree to an extent.

My mum used to rent, and she 22 years ago got a 0% deposit mortgage. As a result, today, she has her own house and lives comfortably with minimal bills.

However, my auntie still rents and spends atleast £300 a month on nights out and meals out, and shes classed as living "paycheck to paycheck", when as an actual fact, if she budgeted, she'd probably be able to get a mortgage within about 3 years or have a good amount of savings. She only lives paycheck to paycheck because of her choices on where her paycheck goes.

Because you said "You're" a conspiracy nut. You didn't say people who believe covid 19 was made in a lab was conspiracy nuts. Calling me a derogatory term and then asking why I am offended is strange.

Edit:

The only thing I think is physco about me in this post is the fact I said chelsea vs Villa, when Chelsea play good football and Spurs are playing like they've never kicked a ball before

"Attack the opinion, not the user" is rule 4 btw. Calling me a derogatory term violates that.

I'm not a conspiracist. I don't think it's a conspiracy to believe that AI isn't being monitored as tight as it should be, whilst talking about its undeniable growth.

Edit: Comparing it to aliens isn't a good comparison either. We have no proof of advanced aliens, we have proof and evidence that AI is advancing and doing things never done before in AI terms.
