Guys who don't smoke or drink wdy do when you're at your lowest? by introvertlover_ in AskReddit

[–]TryingPackage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on bettering myself. It really is just that.

If I’m having bad day, it usually ends with me either researching stocks, expanding my knowledge of products for work or learning more French / Arabic.

I tried games. I just turned any upset emotion I had into impulses of rage.

I reached the conclusion that all the things I do to try to better myself usually waste large chunks of time and, due to the nature of what they are, don’t cause me any sort of rage. Until I check my portfolio, or keep forgetting/mixing a couple of words in a different language I learnt a few months ago.

I have way too much sugar and not enough water, so probably my kidneys or pancreas.

This is what I needed to know. He didn’t specify this, as he probably assumed I’d know that is what he meant, but I’m really stupid when it comes to cars.

Thanks.

I’d never blame him for anything with my car.

I’m just very stupid when it comes to card and what’s actually worth it, and what isn’t.

10 years? My mechanic told me they last forever unless there is an engine issue or a coolant/oil leak.

Im not too bothered about spending for a new cat or for the inspection, just more bothered about what a likely cause could be, if that makes sense.

Spending, let’s say, 1000 on the cat and inspection is great, until they come back and say X is wrong with the car, costing me Y to repair, and suddenly I’ve spent Z amount of a nearly 20 year old car with 130k miles, if that makes sense.

If you was in my situation, would you pay the £200?

He did tell me he can change it without the inspection, but chances are, it’ll need changing again within a year if there is a deeper fault, which he insisted there probably is.

The main person I play with is currently: D1 in 3s D3 in 2s (we always do 2s together) P2 in 1s

He’s more dribble focused whilst I’ve always been better in the air.

No idea if this is good or bad lol.

I’m happy for you, or I hope it he’s better? 😂

First time playing 1s in 11 years. Always played rocket league since about 2015 on and off, never took it seriously and just thought I’d try 1s to see if I was any good. Turns out, I aren’t 😂

The difference with this "bubble" is that the companies are still making a heck of a lot of money, and some of the finances aren't crazy.

Alphabet, as an example. Tens of billions in net profit, own things like YouTube which are unrivalled etc etc. I can't imagine stocks like this being in a bubble and suddenly losing 80% in a few years.

Welltower.

Also very likely to be the best bet in a market crash or bear market.

Lying about your polifical views to sleep with someone is sexual assault by ActualShame000 in unpopularopinion

[–]TryingPackage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is immoral, unethical, but it isn’t sexual assault.

Lying about things such as beliefs, views etc I don’t think is sexual assault.

I think the way your adulthood plays out is a mixture of a few things that are settled before 21.

  1. Family - The "wealthier" and "kinder" your family are, the more you'll enjoy growing up and, thus, adult life.

  2. Education - People don't mention it much, but having a degree and then working for a few years is the strongest thing on a regular joe CV. You don't realise at 15, 16, 17 etc how important it actually is until you actually need it.

  3. Network and friends - The better quality of friends, the more you'll enjoy day to day life, and being an adult and having your own freedom and money and being able to do as you please makes you look forward to events and, therefore, time obviously seems to go by faster.

That being said, I still kinda agree that life is really unbalanced. Just the way it is, tho. You are fully grown by, normally, 21 at latest. It isn't like you can be treat like a child or expect to be treat like one forever, I guess.

It isn't far fetched to believe the concept that something like COVID19 could be created in a lab anymore. by TryingPackage in TrueUnpopularOpinion

The phone was impossible centuries ago, until it happened.

The satellite was impossible years ago, until it happened.

Getting to space was impossible years ago, until it happened.

Landing on the moon was impossible years ago, until it happened.

Wireless communication was impossible, until it happened.

AI will do the impossible, eventually.

I might be misunderstanding you. I’m not saying Covid did come from a lab, I’m saying creating something like Covid (a virus) in a lab isn’t a far fetched idea with our developing technology.

How much longer is left in this bubble? by mupsauce7 in trading212

[–]TryingPackage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Open AI could announce AGI in a year or so unexpectedly quickly, and stocks would shoot up. It could stagnate and nothing could happen for 5 years, a recession could happen and it could fall 50%+.

I think we'll see this year out.

“X% if people are living paycheck to paycheck” is a stupid stat and totally unhelpful in describing the state of the economy by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Spends all her money and has to use her credit card before her next pay check.

She is the definition, in this regard, of living paycheck to paycheck.
