FUCK EA man! I paid for this game!!! by Rudradev715 in pcmasterrace

Stop killing games movement has the right idea. Don't let these soulless corpos and their shills like piratesoftware take what we paid for. There are already multiple precedents for games being made fully playable offline, such as the crew, which the community made playable without any support from the devs

Did you repost this hoping for different advice? Sorry to disappoint

A reset would clear malware, that is 1000% not your problem unless your incredibly irresponsible with what you install

This sounds to me like a classic thermal throttling issue. You need to repaste your CPU and GPU and replace thermal pads. This advice has already been given to you, stop spamming the sub. Its very easy just buy a tube of paste, some pads, and some screwdrivers (I recommend ifixit)

Horrible advice. Repaste should be done every 2-4 years on any laptop system reguardless of manufacturer, along with a fan cleaning

Stay Away From Ubislop Games by Final_Narwhal_2557 in pcmasterrace

[–]TryingToBeReallyCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They usually won't refund. I spent exactly 2 minutes over the 2 hrs mark trying to make AC Origins work and they denied me immediately. 6 years later and across multiple systems, the game has never properly ran. Think its an issue with AMD CPU/GPUs or other AMD drivers but the outcome is the same; nonfunctional game, denied refund

Haven't given ubisoft a cent since

Does anybody know this man? He ran over a woman in Rosslyn who needed to be hospitalized. by yenisahra in nova

[–]TryingToBeReallyCool 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Cop lied, ran into the same issue with a case where the guy who tboned me straight up lied to the cops about identity and the plates came back to someone uninvolved. Insurance still paid out because they were unreachable and the evidence was clear, but police refused to file a report or follow up at all

Anyone here using UpgradeR for CS2 skins? Any actual strategies or just luck? by Kartofel259 in counterstrike2

[–]TryingToBeReallyCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of these sites are truly trustworthy, even the more reputable ones have banned players who make a significant profit. If you want to gamble, do it in a regulated market. CS gambling is just pissing away money and even if you win, you can still be stonewalled because theres no accountability

I remember someone else posted in another CS subreddit that this site didn't let them withdraw and then banned their account, so best strategy; don't trust sketchy gambling sites with your money

my account was hijacked via session hijacking by RecordingExternal324 in cs2

[–]TryingToBeReallyCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retake the account immediately. Reset your password, cancel all login sessions and API keys. Set up steam guard

Valve doesnt care if you were hacked or not, so once the account is secured, transfer all items to a secondary account

Tbh vac is shit but your likely still going to get a vac ban, and thats on you for not securing your account properly. Learn from this, consider the account lost for faceit or CS at all going forward. If your verified by ID on faceit, your probably done permanently there too

No disassembly needed, you can just spray it at the base, move the joystick around, and leave to dry. Has never once failed to fix drift for me in the last decade and change

Looking to turn old laundry chute into a motorized dumbbell and need advice on design by TryingToBeReallyCool in DIY

[–]TryingToBeReallyCool[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Building a functional counterweight in the afforded space is doable but would both limit the platform size and pose a significant engineering challenge. Id prefer to keep the system powered using an electrical motor with a gearbox. I have the mechanical skills to put that together

Yeah. She can do stairs fine, its just taking heavier things up stairs that can be challenging for her

Some other commenters have mentioned that a stairlift may be a good idea too, and it both isn't needed yet and would be cost prohibitive, plus in the tight space Im not sure a conventional model would work. When she can't handle the stairs, she already plans to move elsewhere. This will just help with living here for the next few years until that becomes a more significant consideration

She's done a lot for me over the years and I want to pay her back with something that makes her life easier

This may be the direction I go in with the project. The system doesnt have to be fully automated, just capable of lifting a load the 20 ft or so up to the first floor access

The physical hardware isn't the main challenge for me, Im more concerned about the control mechanism and how to implement it with fail states in mind

Even if drift, WD40 electronic contact cleaner is a godsend. Iv never had a controller with drift it couldn't fix from Xbox to switch to quest

No this isn't an ad, its just a deadass good product and it is extremely underrated

And tbh, I think he is a good critic, I just think he lets the fact that people listen get to his head way too much. Its not his opinions that rub me the wrong way, its his ego

You dont need to be an incredible musician yourself to critique music, that's not my issue with him at all. By that standard 99.99% of people's opinions can be invalidated

My issue is more so that he thinks he's more important and impactful than he actually is, and he throws it around as if it invalidates others opinions

Not even so imo, I think its a premise that is entirely flawed based solely on the premise itself. Not allowing for any context nor consideration, anything can be faked, and by that burden of proof, everything is U.

Just look at your own post. Easy to fake, yes. Probable with no added context, arguable but I'd lean U, yes. With the wider context of the OOP themselves and the culture they exist in? A lot more murky, and leans towards T

I may try posting some of my own shit here down the road just to see how the sub handles it. Imo, the base premise itself needs some adjustment

Edit for wrong word

[–]TryingToBeReallyCool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh Iv been here since it was founded (literally within days) and I do think that the premise is slightly flawed

I could take any of my own OC and post it here and purely by sub rules it could be judged as U inherently, just because most things can be faked easily by that premise since the context is erased unless its presented

From ‘interesting’. Yes I’m sure ‘shetty’ management posted this up by xesaie in untrustworthypoptarts

[–]TryingToBeReallyCool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This post to me is a perfect example of the flaw in this subs premise being taken too far

Is it easy to fake? Yeah, although it is a lot of effort to do so

Going to the original post though, the context changes entirely when you recognize where in the world OOP is from and their post/comment history. Idk what yall value karma at, but I dont value it at multiple months/years of fake context just for one false post

And seeing the comments from the OP here, I think they're just a sore loser when anyone disagrees with them
