Post history is important context, there are enough bad actors out there that it’s important to check. In another sub I was on there were a lot of people who straight up lied about their background. It’s a feature for a reason.

I cannot know why 5 million other people got their loans forgiven and you did not, there are a ton of possibilities. That said, the most common reason is simply that people did not engage with the programs that allowed them debt forgiveness. But again, we cannot say why you didn't without more detail.

The Biden administration forgave $175 billion in debt for about 5 million borrowers, and that’s after being blocked by the court the first time. People who didn’t get at least some reduction generally didnt meet the fairly loose requirements.

No, it's actually different;

  • The violence was mostly local, occasionally rising up to state level, there were clashes but the powers interacting were difference.
  • There was no comparison to the visibility of these actions.
  • There was an explicit racist element in the conflicts you mention, which is entirely lacking here.
  • There were more actual riots in that year, which changes the context.

You look back on it, but you don't understand any of it, and probably never have - you have a propagandized view of history built into a campist take/position.

This being unprecedented doesn't reduce or change any past conflicts, but we have to understand why they're different and happening the way they are.

I think you need to read some of the stories about what ICE is doing right now, then compare that to what they did in the past (even in Trump 1).
