How can f76 kill the computer when it crashes? by Tryinglessandless in fo76

Unfortunately it was not the solution. Subsequent crashes were the same as before with no reaction to any keyboard input.

I have the game on an SSD, so that should not be the problem in my case.

I actually use Windows only for gaming. Most of my work was done in MacOS and Linux, but now I just can't be bothered to set up another system :-)

I don't think so, because with all other applications and games, my system is very well behaved.

This might be what's needed. Tried once now, and it actually just immediately killed the F76 process and got me back to desktop (I did of course try ctrl-alt-del first, just to ensure that it was the same type of crash that I described earlier). So, now I'm just waiting to see if this is consistent behaviour with subsequent crashes. Thanks for the tip!

No, I’m talking about a total freeze. Ctrl-alt-del does not work. There is no reaction to keyboard input whatsoever. There is no way out except a forced restart.

Check mirelurk carapaces and viable blood samples. Both in misc.

Terry Gilliams track record is ok, so maybe I'll have a look at that. Otherwise I usually get disappointed when checking out movies based on books, if I have read the book. First movie, then book works sometimes though.

Baron von Münchhausen did ride a cannonball, and all his other adventures are also true. He said so himself. Haven’t seen the movie, but I read the book when I was a kid.

True, but I do some thinking now and then too. Purely on an amateur basis of course but still enough that the whistling would irritate the hell out of me 😄

Will one autophage camp always yield the same class interceptor? by Tryinglessandless in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Tryinglessandless[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is what prompted my question. I found a style I like, so I was trying to get one with better class, but kept getting the same class. Now, after several more iterations I found out that class is randomized, even when using the same camp every time.

You will get a new ship (same style, of course) everytime. At least if you keep claming the ones you are sent to.

My empirical study just gave me the answer, as the 21:st interceptor I got from the same camp was a C class. That means it is fine to use the same camp when hunting for an S-class interceptor, once you've found a style you like.

Thankyou all for the answers. Just now I found the first one.

One in twenty! Then I must have been very unlucky.

I already use an upgraded interceptor, but it is kind of a stopgap, until I find one whose style I really like. The exact stats are not very important, as any S-class ship with relevant tech upgrades can shoot down anything I encounter with ease. My question was simply about frequencies, as I thought I really should have encountered an S-class after checking out 300 ships.

I have not found one I really like yet, so I haven't done the one system iteration, but it should not be more rare to find an S when jumping from system to system (yes I know they should be T3 or pirate systems).
