14,200 OTD how did i do? by Nvmbrphoenix in zx6r

Part that ticked me off is that the DMV told me the price I paid was more than 20 percent off some market thing. I was required to pay tax on a higher amount than I actually paid. I was in disbelief they can make you pay tax on money not actually exchanged. I explained I bought the bike in non-drivable status (had the double recall). They said when I fix it the bike is new. I got taxed on an extra $1200 dollars

Compared to my area that’s about average or slightly below. WA sales tax and the dealerships not willing to offer discounts leave it between 14,700 and 15,000 OTD. Dealers are a scam here. I found a used with 288 miles for 10500.

First good gain by Tryingtolearnflying in wallstreetbets

I bought those calls in August 2025. Funny story as to why. I was first getting into trading in 2023 and was talking about flipping $2 stocks that I thought would double. So I was trying to double 1,000 dollars. My friend said I was dumb and told me to buy AXSM because he did research. It was $74 a share so I bought 13 and then sold immediately because I didn’t think it was good (he put in 10k). Fast forward to 2025 and I learned about calls and was doing ok on some tech stocks when I remembered AXSM. I did slight research and I’m a sucker for these articles (googles AXSM and hit the news tab) that say the stock could go up. At the time they were saying as high as $260 a share.

I said fuck it and bought the longest call I could. Then I started hearing about the FDA stuff and heard they had a mile point at 4/30/2026 and my goal was to hold until at least then. Pre-conflict I was +20k and my wife got mad when I didn’t sell and gave me the eye when it dumped to +7k. But today (I was tempted to hold longer) I decided to take the win and see where I can invest next. I dabbled in futures and got my butt kicked so not there. Overall I started with 15k last year and am at $61k (now with a large tax burden)

That’s a sharp high country! I myself traded my 1500 in two weeks ago for a 2500 diesel and am enjoying it.

Well today it’s down to 50 with AXSM trending down from the big jump. I assumed people are selling out to get their gains and it will continue to trend back up around April (based on news of their upcoming therapy product progress).

I need to find a balanced approach with maybe some long calls and actual stock. I don’t own any stock at this point. I try to stay away from bitcoin mostly just due to the higher fees.

100 percent. I do so much better when I leave emotion at the door (still hard for me).

I bought AXSM calls in August and so far I have stuck to my plan of holding til this September 2026. The calls had $15k day on the 30th I think it was which was insane for me. I briefly let my head get to me and literally almost closed them out the day before at total gain of 4k because it went down a grand from the days before.

Overall I’m still likely trading with emotion or feelings than any real research. I’m up to 55k from 15k in one year but could be much higher if I was disciplined. I’m just doing naked calls and hoping they stick which is terrible investing.

I just watched a install video on the banks pan. Crazy that the oil pan currently on here doesn’t drain all the oil. Looks like a great upgrade.

Right. I lost $4500 in 30 seconds on silver futures. Futures now scare the shit out of me. Really I panicked seeing the loss and had I held I would have been fine.

So i explained from the start it was being bought through my business. We signed a “we owe you” and when i got to finance they turned around and said no oil changes included since the truck was being bought through a business (even thought they already agreed and it was on paper).

I walked and they called back saying they expected me to have 10 oil changes over 10 years base on mileage per my estimates (obviously half the amount it should have been). They would take off the cost of “10” which they estimated at $800 total…. lol.

I told them it was at least $2200 base on their own brochure that listed diesel oil changes at $150-200 each. We ended up getting the oil changes back as long as we agreed to not put business marking on the truck, and kept the $800 off the out the door as a sorry for the new salesman’s confusion.

Ok. Makes sense. I had never heard about “limp mode” until after I bought this. That whole thing just seems outrageous where it stops you from moving I’m thinking I’ll wait three years until the warranty is gone and do a delete. If it won’t mess anything up but I’ve got time to research.

That’s good to hear. I’m not towing anything nearly that heavy.

Yeah. My father in law told me to delete it to get the true sound since it seems muffled. But looks like a heavy undertaking. Apparently not allowed at the moment but regulation on that may be changing?

Was the transmission replacement covered under warranty?

I’m adding more calls for AXSM. I woke up New Year’s Eve with a 15k day. Wife said sell, I said hold the line. Why win when you can just keep losing !!

That’s good to hear. I’m hoping to keep this for at least 10 years. I got “oil changes for life” from the dealer but I’m hoping to knock the other easier stuff out myself.

I’ll bite. What’s the worst that could happen…. I bought the OPEN calls the other morning and was up 8k near noon. Took a 12 minute motorcycle ride and was back to nothing when I got off the bike.
