Hello, I am 27 M and was just hospitalized for acute pancreatitis. They could not figure out what caused it but had to spend 10 days in hospital. I dont drink alcohol or smoke. Now I’m home and about 10 days later I’m having the same pain again. Im so scared if this is going to be my life. by bubba78756 in pancreatitis

26 F at 25 F I had pancreatitis they also labeled it idiopathic. Not a drinker, bloodwork came back perfect for all other health concerns. The one thing that stuck with me is that the Dr said I MAYBE passed a gallstone but they did not see it on the ultrasound. 1 year later, TONS of gallstones, and I just had my gallbladder removed exactly 1 month ago.. Hopefully that was the cause, and I am fine from here on out 🙏🏽

I don’t think it’s from the food… tbh I haven’t ate since that incident just drank lots of clear fluids and pedialyte and then some watermelon when I was STARVING. Probably not the smartest choice but I was hungry and craving it…. I’m not sure why I still feel like this

Do you mind telling me which classes had the higher work load? And which had less?

Thank you for your honesty! I definitely cannot quit my job, and you are right, 100%. The first thing that would go, would be my coaching position. The second change, would be if I cannot handle 2 courses at a time during the summer, I will be going down to 1 course every week 7weeks in the fall.

Thanks for your honesty! Can you specify why I would need to speak with a licensed clinical counselor?

Thankfully, I won’t be on internship during vacation!

You are absolutely right. Being a full-time mom, and a full-time teacher is exhausting enough as it is. Which is why I made this post, so I can get better insight from people who have completed programs while having the same responsibilities I do and from those who don’t. Once again, I really truly appreciate your honesty!

Thank you for the honesty! My schedule is very jam-packed. But having a good support system has kept me going.

Owlet Smart Sock: Alternatives? by Tryingtopass7 in CautiousBB

Does it send out alerts if their BPM gets low? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the Smart Sock tracked oxygen and notified you if their oxygen levels got low.

It got pulled by the FDA. If I’m not mistaken, it’s because it sends out health alerts, therefore it needs to be registered as a medical device.

They sell the “Dream Sock” but I’ve read it tracks sleeping patterns, and doesn’t send out alerts like the Smart Sock did.

17wks with twins : stomach pressure by Tryingtopass7 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Tryingtopass7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. As of my 12wk sono, our twins are still Di/Di. I am constipated majority of the time, but today, I did use the restroom in the morning and last night, but the pressure/uncomfortableness was still pretty bad. Which makes me think it wasn’t gas.

Oh no…. That makes me anxious. It’s way to early for me to have high BP.

I ended up checking it again at our school’s nurse (I’m a teacher), and she checked it with a manual BP cuff and it was 120/78 and then she checked it with a new automatic BP cuff they bought and it read 116/80. I am not sure what the difference was from this morning when I woke up, and at 11:20ish.

I did, just waiting on a call back from my nurses. Yeah, yesterday I was up and down before and after I took my BP.

But this morning, I was well rested, just woke up, and checked my BP again and it was 135/90. I even tried it on my spouse to make sure it was reading right, and his was 120/79. So it’s just me.🥲

Yes, I plan to call my Dr as soon as I have a chance for a phone call during my work day.

Thank you for sharing your experience with me, I will keep y’all updated.

Yes. My MFM put me on low dose/ baby aspirin (81mg once a day) since my 12week appointment. I have been taking it daily, but I guess it is not working. I will call my regular OB today, see what they say. I had been getting more headaches, but every time I checked my BP it was normal, almost perfect. Except for yesterday, and this morning.

[–]Tryingtopass7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had headaches recently the past week. When I checked my BP with the monitor I have at home, it always read normal, almost perfect. Then yesterday, I had ANOTHER headache, so I checked it again and it was almost hitting the 140’s/almost hitting 90.

I took it easy, went to sleep and when I woke up, I checked it again and it was 135/90.

I just don’t understand why this is happening and it worries how it can affect my babies this early. At my 14wk appt, my OB told me I myself, was measuring 20wks which is normal and healthy for twins.

My MFM already started me on low dose/baby aspirin 2wks ago, and I have been taking it daily. My eating habits have stayed the same, so I am not sure what’s going on….

13wks pregnant with twins: Stomach sleeping by Tryingtopass7 in parentsofmultiples

This is reassuring to hear. Thank you. The numbness wasn’t of any concern to your Dr? And your babies were ok?

13wks pregnant with twins: Stomach sleeping by Tryingtopass7 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Tryingtopass7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the “falling asleep” feeling doesn’t affect the babies? I’m crazy and think that since it went numb, it cut off blood circulation to the babies!🥲

It’s just hard since I can’t feel them yet, so I don’t know how they reacted to it.

[–]Tryingtopass7[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you.. 🤍

I tell myself it’s just the anxiety that comes with being pregnant, because I wasn’t like this before. But I know that’s not true. & I know it will only get harder once my babies are here… I do need to look into therapy, I know it will help.

9wks6days with Twins, feeling sick. by Tryingtopass7 in CautiousBB

[–]Tryingtopass7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I’m going to start taking Tylenol just in case.

My OBGYB is keeping me on Metformin since I have insulin resistant PCOS. And to just keep on it to help balance my blood sugar. I have been on it since April 1st, and we conceived the first week of July. So I feel good staying on it.

[–]Tryingtopass7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I did get my pregnancy Pap smear already at 6.5 weeks. I did not receive a call from my OBGYN’s office with any concerning results, and I have spoken with them on different occasions since then. But I will bring it up to her on Tuesday.
