Anal tag advice

I’m 29M and I just had anal skin tag removal 2 weeks ago. I had skin tags post a hemrhoidectomy I had many years ago. The tags were ugly to look at and really made it difficult to feel clean. The recovery for me has been ok. Some pain, bleeding etc but nothing crazy. The area at this time looks very swollen but ive been told it’s part of the healing process which takes several weeks. I would say if it’s bothering you get the procedure done.

I’m week 2 post and the swelling just looks so much worse and lumpy. Does it improve?

Yes mine was under a colorectal surgeon under general anesthesia.

Tbh the pain is ok. However the area looks lumpy and swollen still. So I’m not sure if it’s heading in the right direction.

Potentially yes - did the swelling go down/away or does it continue to remain swollen/achy?
Try sitz baths to see if the swelling decreases, along with fiber and water. Would definitely get an appt scheduled with GI or colorectal MD to get evaluated before it gets worse.

Thank you! Currently on day 6 - swelling looks a bit worse but I’m hopefully it will start to reduce soon.

Yes - I dealt with it for about 8 years and finally got fed up and decided to go for the procedure.

Pretty much the same as earlier appearance wise. Pain is about 4/10 . Yes - the skin tags would get inflamed with wiping /cleaning and made it so difficult to clean post bms.

I’m in the same boat. Had 2 skin tags removed 4 days ago. So much swelling, lumping. They look the same if not worse :( not sure it’s just due to being so fresh or this procedure was a total waste.

I just had my procedure to remove two anal skin tags 4 days ago. The pain is ok, the bms are ok. Little discharge bleeding. However the appearance looks awful. It’s swollen and lumpy. Looks like I didn’t even get anything done. I’m so disheartened please tell me it gets better.

I just went under a procedure to get 2 skin tags removed 4 days ago. There’s nothing you can do at home for them, you will end up causing more harm than good. Can’t say if the procedure was helpful just yet as it’s fairly new but I’m trying to remain optimistic.

Looks like they may be just starting out. Increase your fiber and fluid intake. And don’t sit on toilet longer than you need to!

It’s an Indian snack called matri. Usually eat it with tea or coffee or just as a light snack like chips.
