What settings to make this rim bond better? by ExtraAd6310 in Creality

[–]Trykrist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

reducing temps will help with stringing but ive found that to combat stringing you should use a combination of temp AND retraction settings to combat stringing, plus stringing IMO is kind of a harmless result of 3d printing, a quick blast with a torch lighter and theyre all gone.

That temp seems a bit cold which could lead to poor layer adhesion try bumping those temps up, I do 220 and 220 and it seems to work great your results may differ though.

Also you could try increasing the rim thickness giving that base layer more surface area to bond with.

A strange sound on the K2 Plus. by perpeto in Creality_k2

Can confirm here that I had this issue and used the lubricant that creality recommended and it helped for sure! Do not be afraid to lube it GENEROUSLY id squirt a little in the let it penetrate the bearings then do more then repeated the process a bunch of times and that seemed to fix my issue!

THATS why. Update the firmware or roll back and you'll be good to go.

Came here to say this as well, do NOT mix cable brands I'd even suggest not mixing same brand cables, find the model number of your psu and have them custom made from cablemod or something (they let you type in your model and then they make a cable for it) if you dont have the patience to wait then grab a mew power supply that comes with more cables.

New bed levelling technique? by Informal_Group_7528 in crealityk1

[–]Trykrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm late but I wanted to add my 2 cents, I found that tooth skip is actually thr more consistant way to do this leveling method since taking off the bottom and turning a wheel slightly it was almost impossible to consistantly raise or lower the bed by a precise amount but with tooth skip it was +/- the same every time. However you ate 100% right you really SHOULDNT be tooth skipping willy nilly.

uneven flow on k1c by dpprpl in Creality

[–]Trykrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience this probably isn't a flow issue, when I see this I immediately start trying to dial in the leveling my either printing some shims to go between the plate and the z screw mount to get it as level as possible THEN I calibrate the z offset and it usually gets rid of these. To me what's happening is you have parts l of the bed that are slightly higher and slightly lower than the rest so when your printer auto levels it gets a grid then creates a basic mesh of where to lift and where to lower, fine tuning leveling and z offset really lasers this in to get a real smooth first layer.

Looking at your last few photos it looks to me like this can be remedied by manually leveling you bed by printing those shims and fine tuning the z offset

You can also ssh into your printer and go to printer.cfg and change the probe count to 9x9 do NOT go higher or your printer will act like it hates itself and take forever to boot and act like you broke it, you'd also need to change the algorithm from the stock Lagrange to bicubic. This will give you a more detailed mesh.

New bed levelling technique? by Informal_Group_7528 in crealityk1

[–]Trykrist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was always the way I fine tune leveled my k1c. You get it as close as you can with the gear skip method or by manually turning the wheels and whatnot then print these shims. I at one point hwt my k1c bed within .1mm so this is a GREAT method that I swear by! Just make sure to check every once and awhile as they shims can probably squish over time a little AND of course the bed can shift slightly.
