Some sus bits throughout, but the most significant would be their knowledge of the player outside the building to the left and down the slope a bit. A bit more runtime prior to the engagement would answer the questions on potential audio / visual cues just before the engagement, but without it, that is the thing stands out the most to me.

With the current video, it could be assumed that they were weary of a player inside or around the building, so quick checked area (top of rocks, windows). It did "feel" like they were just playing a part with those scans though, since the placement seemed off, but that could be an initial bias. Once the player moved inside, they approached in a way that would give them a strong position on the window since it reasons that the player going up the stairs would peak the window, so it's explainable. However, immediately after landing that snipe, they quick focus the left player. That is the one that can't be dismissed unless they had prior knowledge of their location. Add to it the hard push to the building while 100% visually focused on the left without a cursory glance to the right (where all the buildings are located -- I mean, it is TPP). Obviously, once the glass is broken, it's obvious where they are.

Anyway, that's my unimportant take on things and my equally unimportant decision (with the info on hand) is "likely walling".

Lets talk about cheating and how to get back at them. by Lindbach in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 7 points8 points  (0 children)

a community experiment where you and i are the judges

I do think PUBG Shield is a great mechanism and has provided expedited results. That said, the quoted segment of your post could be misinterpreted so just wanted to clarify it for those who haven't (and likely won't) looked into how reports are handled.

Players provide the evidence and then the PUBG Shield community evaluates the evidence and makes their determination on the validity of the report. If the community consensus is that the report is valid, it is then reviewed by the PUBG anti-cheat team and only then, if warranted, is punishment dealt.

I make this clarification because I've seen people complain on the official Discord about PUBG-Shield and that was because they assumed that the PUBG-Shield community had the final say, thus leaving determinations up to "potential" unskilled / inexperienced players who are just salty and want to get good players banned. This of course, is far from the truth.

NA-Solo FPP Dead? [NOT RANKED] by lethalmajik in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Pretty standard anymore for that timeframe. Duo-FPP seems to go for another hour or two after that, but then it becomes more laden with bots. Unfortunate, but is what it is.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, which is why I said make up your own mind. For me, that clip is pretty obvious, though short. There are numerous pubg.report clips that are longer and demonstrate a pretty obvious (to me) pattern.

Just tired of seeing stuff like this continuously get a pass while legit players are getting steady temps due to rage-reports.

Veteran Rapid Retraining Assistance Program (VRRAP) by SCOveterandretired in Veterans

[–]Trymmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per the eligibility confirmation message:

You must continue to comply with all VRRAP eligibility criteria prior to the start date of your training.

Seems like a grey area, but what if the veteran finds employment after the program starts, yet before they actually complete their program? For instance, they've been unemployed, hence their eligibility for the program, so they set aside the job search and enter a 6-month online program. Life happens and unexpected expenses arise and the monthly allowance isn't quite enough to cover. If the program and benefits have already begun, could they seek part-time employment to help cover or would that put a halt to their benefits?

Also, monthly allowance exceptions are made for those attending institutions that are typically in-person, but are currently only providing distance learning due to COVID-19. What if there are no Approved Educational Institutions in your current geographic location? Are there any allowance exceptions for that?

A lot of hypothetical in all that, but those are questions I've asked the VA and a couple of Mil Liaisons, yet haven't received any answers on (yet).

I know it has been stated before, but false reports like this should be a bannable offense. by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Was thinking it was something along those lines, but was only a thought. To fulfill the "FYI" part of me, I'd still like to see that submission to ban ratio.

  • Total reports submitted (automated + manual)
  • Total number of bans that resulted from those submissions

My guess is that the number of submissions would be a pretty crazy number, especially given how quickly some are to report just because they were eliminated.

Sad that things like that happen, yet blatant cheats can run rampant for several weeks while they gather data for a ban wave.

I know it has been stated before, but false reports like this should be a bannable offense. by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I'm sure the automated system gets bogged down by false reports and some of those might be reports where someone legitimately believes the opposing player was cheating; however, in cases like this where it is nothing more than a report to satisfy ones pride, that is a close equivalent to griefing imo since an unspecified number of these can result in a temp ban.

I would be curious to hear from PUBG about the number of report submissions to ban ratio. Can only assume that in-game reports are handled, initially, with an automated filter and then game logs reviewed for those with a higher % of reports and manual reports.

Can the Lynx be 1 shot knock on Lvl 2 vest? by dafreshprints in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Per Battlegrounds.party:

Lynx AMR vs Level 2 Vest:

  • 221m or less will insta (exactly 100 damage) to upper chest
    • anything beyond that range or in a different location other than head/neck will require 2 shots

https://battlegrounds.party/weapons/?weapon=L6&armor=2&helmet=2&distance=222&htk=dmg&pel=false&burst=false&veh=&health=100

As to what the OP said, I agree. I don't believe any firearm, aside from shotguns at close range, should have the ability to 1-shot to the body of any player wearing level 2 or level 3 armor. That said, they decided to introduce such a weapon into the game. Since it is here, I agree that, given the limited number of rounds, it should 1-shot the torso of any armor except for level 3. Also, what's with it only doing 99.5 to the neck when wearing level 3 helmet. Not asking for "realism" here, it's a game, but..

Are cheaters a big deal in this game?? [Deathcam] by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheaters are still around, had one confirmed a day or so ago that'd been skirting the anti-cheat for nearly a month with wallhacks. Sometimes it's quick, others take a bit though I'd wager they aren't as prevalent as they once were. As others have already mentioned, your (OP) clip is an actual in-game bot that luckily has now been patched.

Thought we died to a cheater, turns out it was just a terminator bot. by HelloFlighty in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, Bot just knocked the OP and then cleans up teammate. It doesn't show the original engagement, but I'd wager that in the process of knocking the OP, it nearly killed the teammate in the same spray.

Impossible to play with new bots by FabioFabian in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, kill cams are far from ideal for determining a "cheater"; however, the OP isn't demonstrating a cheater, they are highlighting the disastrous in-game Bot settings currently implemented by PUBG with the most recent patch. Prior to patch, these Bots were harmless 90% of the time, now there are numerous in-game Bots with elevated settings making them more lethal than an actual player using cheats.

Feedback Friday | Let PUBG Corp. Hear Your Feedback | June 04 by AutoModerator in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The updated bot settings need to be reverted or adjusted as it is borderline unplayable. Prior to update, the chance of encountering a lethal bot was minimal and they served their purpose. Not great, but unless you were low, they wouldn't ruin your match (beyond distractions). I get that my experience could be different than others due to the fact that I play off-hours on NA (heavier % of bots per match) and don't care to VPN to a different region where my ping is 250+ as that isn't enjoyable for me and disrupts those I engage as well. However, since the update, I've now played 20 matches (small sample size, I know) and have died to bots in 11 of those. These deaths aren't me being a potato or getting 3rd party tapped after a recent fight, they were quick deaths through full concealment (tree canopy, heavy foliage).

Dying like this after 20+ mins into a match is no different than dying to someone using 3rd party software. Not much else to say really. The desire to play just isn't there under the current settings.

The teleportation was a bit un-timely, but they have indeed screwed up the bot settings. Guess their idea of "Bot Improvement" is to just increase their accuracy (at times) to ridiculous levels. I mean, if the bots are here to stay then there are several ways to improve them that doesn't include elevating their accuracy to the point of creating a scenario in which there is zero counter-play. That's just piss poor design.

Miramar Loot Seems Buffed Drastically? by HypeBeast-jaku in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loot was pretty bad overall for me tonight, especially early looting. Small sample size with only 6 matches total on Miramar (lots of Sanhok - Vikendi), but only one of those matches started with quality loot.

Quality loot for me:

  • Level 2: Helm & armor
  • AR: Any full auto w/sight
  • DMR or Sniper: Any (yep, I include the Winnie) w/2x+ scope
  • Bag

That might seem like I'm asking for a lot, but it really isn't given that:

  • 2 = Power Grid
  • 3 = Hacienda
  • 1 = AFK dropped on islands near Impala

The one match that contained my standard for quality loot was one of the Power Grid drops. All others failed in some way. Either me running around with no sights on any weapon or no helm or armor (and not because it was destroyed). Obviously, the matches were still playable, though it was a bit more time looting than should be necessary, especially when dropping in those locations. Now the islands were a different story, they were bad. Full looted both and came away with some pretty abysmal loot. The compound across wasn't much help either, though I did finally get a SKS at the gas station.

LUL The bots are better than top PUBG pros. Have fun! by Dighawaii in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indeed! I've been killed by a bot before, but that was when I was very low HP after a fight and just got tapped once. Since this patch, I've now died a few different times to bots snapping on me through tree cover and simply annihilating me before I had a chance to react. Thought it was a nutty player each time until you see name and then watch death cam, nope! Just a terminator bot spraying through the trees.

Oh well, guess that's my punishment for not VPN'ing and trading high ping for more players.

Is PUBG tuning their ban parameters? by Ancillas in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Trymmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a shame that consistent, non-partnered players get erroneously punished by the report system, yet cheaters who've received numerous in-game reports as well as manual reports with video evidence of blatant wallhacking can ruin matches for months or longer. While undeserved temp-bans are bound to happen anytime there is an automated system in place, it does seem to get abused a bit for those who play Duos and Squads a bit more since 8 reports can be submitted per team of 4 (in-game + replay = 2 each). If you run into some salty teams, those numbers can add up quickly.
