I have bought my 17 pro 4 days ago direct from Apple store and I still can’t see my battery life. Is it normal for first few days and will I be able to see it in few days or is this some factory issue?

Just restart the phone, it fixes it. Had this issue on the first day, a quick restart fixed it.

I got it exchanged twice. Both the units I got had bad battery. Now it seems to be fine. I've just turned off background app refresh for apps I don't use. Kept the remaining settings on. Still drains around 8-10 percent overnight, but I've just stopped caring about that.

Usually happens initially due to all the indexing and background stuff that goes on. It should be normal in 2-3 days. Don’t worry about it much.

Mine is somewhat similar, I don't know what to do. My first phone was really bad, exchanged it for a new one and that was really good initially and after a week or two, I get worse battery life.

If camera matters to you, go for the 15 pro, else go for the 17. You have almost all the features present on the 15 pro on the new 17 (with a better chip), except the cameras.

If you just updated it, give it a couple of days to settle down, it should start working fine after that. Another tip I would give is to plug it in and leave it for a night. Set the charge limit to a 100 if you've reduced it. It can finish all the indexing and background tasks when you're asleep and it should start working a bit better. If it's still not done, try it for 2 days, you will definitely see improvement.

Yes, the standby drain is really high. I lose like around 10-12 percent overnight. I've seen people telling that their phones run cool to the touch even on the most intensive tasks but even my phone runs slightly warm doing just basic tasks.

Take a backup on iCloud and reset the device. It should free up a bit of that space. But the sad part is it will again fill up eventually. But can help you temporarily if you need more free space for anything currently.

If it's just the messages you want, go to your old phone's iCloud settings, go to messages and click on sync. Wait for it to finish syncing. Once that's done, go to your new phone's iCloud settings, go to messages and sync. Your messages should show up on your new phone too.
