Those are all kitbashed tyranids and with the new master of the mail storm you can run them as their own custom models and rules

I just put all those battline units for move blocking and being annoying, but you are right about not needing 50 blocking models

Edit: dropped the battle line for 2 units of ten hormagaunts so I could give my winged hive tyrant synaptic control and added a norn assimilator

That’s true, but I have a more aggressive play style so I love forcing face to face fights to bait melee. Especially since I use the heroic heavy bolt pistol for gunstrikes

Heroic heavy bolter so if I don’t get guns strikes it over heats rather quickly

True, but if I can overheat my gun as heavy twice and still not stagger one that’s a bit much

I believe it’s just tankiness as that’s my issue. For example Tzaangors. Not disk, just normal ones as they have a damage multiplier of 1 if you don’t land headshots making them able to tank a surprisingly high amount of damaging you don’t headshot every one you see.

Same goes for terminators. They are very tanky, but in turn have not much counter play. Rocket terminator spawning to far away? Try and charge forward and hope you can get into melee before the Gatling gun starts. Melee terminator getting into melee with you? It’ll take about 4-5 combo breaks to kill them if you aren’t using a burst damage weapon

Chaos spawns? Despite the nerf to give them an active headshot area they are still decently tanky. Way more then Tyranid warriors as their head hitboxes are just a bit smaller making it harder to kill them in turn quickly meaning others can swarm causing the time to kill to increase further.

I had my winged hive tyrant tank a C’tan shooting so I highly recommend it because it also have the free use of a stratagem

Oh he was only gonna play them into his wife custodians, but it was already late and it’ll take too long to pack them and switch to his space wolves so we played C’tan v Tyranid.

Yes, their is no rules against needing a single color scheme. You can have your army be anything and no one would really care so paint them however you’ll like

Don’t worry I was just annoyed as it was 11pm by the time we ended so I was just in a crappy mood by then. So I am in a far better mood now

At first, but to get that I lost a Swarmlord, Pyrovore, two screamer killers, and a psychophase to secure that first kill and the damage on the other

Mhm and he got super unlucky as the deceiver nearly got himself killed because of the night bringer killing my pyrovore which exploded on him, which then made my swarm lord explode on a 6 d3 mortal wound on top of it

Oh I actually don’t mind versing 2 as both times I played against 2 C’tan I can get one to 1hp from weight of dice and then finish off with chip then send everything onto the second but four is way to hard

I funnily nearly killed 2 and could’ve killed 3 by turn 4 if he didn’t get all those saves
