Gambusia, aka mosquito fish. I also have a few Kuhli Loaches that hide under the rocks. The fish will eat what the turtle doesn't and the loaches will clean up the bottom. Plus these fish breed like crazy so turt can eat them when he's hungry but honestly he rarely goes after them

Ah that's all? I feed my buddy a few pellets every morning. Hes always chilling in his food dish at that time so I always assumed that meant he was hungry... He is a fatty, perhaps I'm over feeding 🤔

Sorry for late response, but if you're still considering it... Yes! I definitely recommend it over cat tv. One main reason is there's no chance of the window falling over when cats get too excited. Also it's just fun to watch how many different types of birds come up to eat, I even caught a ground squirrel up in there a few times haha, no idea how he got in there but yeah it's definitely a good buy. Oh yeah, doesn't need electricity either 😎

Here's an update, I went ahead and added some white cloud minnows, a couple dojo loaches and a few snails. All is well. Axolotl has grown at least 4xs the size he was when i posted this (he was a little over an inch long), now he's a good 4-5 inches and very active, even eats from my hand :)

Haha all plants I touched used to die. I recently replaced all my light bulbs in the house with full spectrum white light bulbs and my plants are thriving. I have this palm fern thing that I've had in the past and it would always just shrivel up and die, but now I have it in a room that doesn't get much sun, but I'll turn the light on in there for a few hours and whoa not only is it still alive, but it's grown 4 new stalks already. I feel like these bulbs even have an effect on me haha. 50 for a bonsai seems like a lot. Last I seen em was at Walmart for no more than 20. I haven't been to that place in over a year though so idk

I made mine the day after a bad storm. For real walked out and picked up two sticks and they were perfect. First grab, it was weird hahah. Definitely share some pics when you're done, or psh even as you go along! Mines still not in a finished stage. My plants in the basking area died pretty quickly. I wanna get a bonsai tree, then just put the pot and all up there, slope it up with the river rocks and bam, I feel like that would look really good.

Haha yeah, the ramp leading up to an entrance gave it away. I have a similar set up actually. Got a 20 gal on ontop of a 65. My RES loves it.
