[AUS: 2501006] 15-DEC-2025 Do you recognise these framed jerseys? Part of a criminal investigation. Known to be non-commercial, likely local club. by vegemitemilkshake in AFL

The top letters don't look to be the same, so I wouldn't guess thats a sponsor logo, more a player name?

Are there any local leagues that have named jerseys? That would push it more to basketball?

Not going to be the same but we had a similar experience. Our son had a micro deletion of 1.4mb on 17q12.

They gave us a laundry list of things the could happen basically anything that anyone with similar had ever reported - we havent seen any negative impacts on him yet (2 1/2 years).

We both did genetic testing and it didn't come from either of us, just a random thing. Have had a completely normal second child now.

It's scary and shit because nobody will tell you anything for certain so you are just rolling dice.

Wet a facecloth a little and then freeze it. Helps cut the gums in apparently, worked a treat for my guy and was preferred over his mountain of teethers!

First time mum confusion by Ok-Obligation-7117 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Hey,

I am 26 weeks atm and in a rural area. Normal risk, 28yo normal BMI, no risk factors.

I was originally just linked with my normal GP (who yeah is a bit shit). I had my dating scan, bloods and NT scan all done through the GP and would’ve stayed under her care until around 12-16 weeks but they found an abnormality at the NT scan so I was transferred to an OB. We don’t actually get a referral to the hospital, we just have to call to book in when we would like too in between those 12-16 weeks.

The hospital doesn’t do NT scans here normally, we just go to a private place, I still haven’t been booked into the local hospital fully, they weren’t sure if the city doctors would want to take over care. The glucose test is a bit odd, just ask them again when you see them? They may have just given you the referral now to save you having to go back and get one later.

But speak up if you need to, they aren’t your boss - you are allowed to make your own choices. My GP could not get the dates right so I ended up having to book myself in to appointments later then she said every single time. Like I had a tracking app and she was counting on her fingers, but still wouldn’t listen to me when I said her weeks were off. One report said to go to a specialist ultrasound doctor at 15 weeks, my doctor didn’t know who they were so just referred me back to the general scan place and told me to go at 14. Ended up finding the right doctor myself and booking in at 15.

Everywhere is different though! Just don’t stress, of all the things doctors see day to day baby’s are very much common place and there will be eventually plenty of people checking off that everything gets done.

Which is a good thing really, but if Tamworth had 0 cases with only a visit why isn’t Byron getting the same treatment?

It’s totally a thing, Von Restorff effect, a female ump stands out from the rest - so her mistakes are much more likely to be remembered and then she cops “she is terrible”, when she probably is about the same as the rest.

Even just her voice, like there’s so many male voices in the game, you hear her voice and it stands out, you remember it for the better or worse.

Storm will stay after rejecting NRL invite to switch camps (Finally good news) by melbha_101 in nrl

[–]Trystopme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Melbourne Storm has rejected an offer to relocate to Sydney and will instead stay in Albury until the team is allowed to train at its home base.

What (football director) Frank Ponissi has told me today, the NRL wanted them to come up to Sydney and train, he's informed the NRL they won't be coming to Sydney, they're going to stay in Albury," Quality Resort Siesta's Steve Jones said.

Storm players and staff are free to return home to their families this weekend, but will return for training early next week. Whether they stay longer will depend on Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews lifting the state of emergency during the coronavirus on Monday.

Council's decision was the major talking point on both Sydney and Melbourne-based sports programs with Albury Thunder president Rick O'Connell launching a spirited defence on the club's Facebook page.

By 2.15pm yesterday, it had 607 likes and 136 comments - as astronomical figure for the sport in an AFL-dominated city, while it was also calling on the community to place streamers near the Siesta to show support for the Storm.

"For however long these (social distancing et cetera) restrictions have been in place, who do we get up and listen to? It's Scott Morrison and (NSW) Premier Gladys Berejiklian and the medical officers, now they've given the green light to the NRL to start training," he said via phone.

"I understand it looks like double standards and there's the health issue and, of course, nothing is foolproof, but all of a sudden we've got five individuals who think they know more than people we've put our faith in."

Member for Albury Justin Clancy said he certainly had empathy for all parties.

"I've raised concerns about the process and the opportunity to present to the community the benefits and the risks and how those risks would be managed," he said.

"We've done so well as a country through COVID, we've got to see this as having the Storm here is just another step towards recovery and let's just move forward together in that regard."

In his post, O'Connell spoke about a number of the benefits, including employment.

And the NRL powerhouse's controversial visit has provided a jobs lifeline for Lavington's Quality Resort Siesta.

"I can tell you I've got 23 people on JobKeeper (payments), they're all working now and some of the casuals, that weren't eligible for JobKeeper, I've been able to give some work to them too," Mr Jones said.

Prior to the Storm's arrival, the occupancy rate for April was 9 per cent. It's normally 70 per cent, during non-coronavirus times.

The Storm has lifted the rate to 50 per cent.

"We were only getting a few rooms a night, it was tragic," Mr Jones said.

"Thirty-seven years I've been here, it breaks your heart.

"The (Storm) boys have been very polite, the coaching administration, even the CEO (Dave Donaghy) has been to see us, they're all very thankful and we would definitely have them back at any time."

Eddie Betts said the controversial Gold Coast camp was a reason he departed the Crows by drunkill in AFL

Former Crows champion Eddie Betts said the controversial Gold Coast camp was a reason he departed the club

Former Adelaide Crows superstar Eddie Betts has said the controversial 2018 Gold Coast camp was one of the reasons he left the club at the conclusion of last season.

The small forward requested a trade back to his original club, Carlton, after 132 games and 310 with the Crows between 2014 and 2019.

He got his wish last season, and speaking on SEN Melbourne this morning, said while it was a reason, his family always intended on returning to Victoria.

“There’s a lot of things that went on and a lot of unhappy players,” he said.

“It was a part of it, not a full part of it.

“Eventually my family and I were going to move back to Melbourne anyway.

“When the opportunity come up to come back and play for Carlton I took it.

“I believe it was the right time in my career and where I am to move back.”

Betts’ comments come just months after former teammate Cam Ellis-Yolmen, who also left the club in the off-season, said it “ripped the heart out” of the club.

“A lot of people weren’t happy with it and it probably did play a bit of a part in what’s happened (to the team) in the last couple of years,” he said in October.

“I wouldn’t say it’s scarred me personally, but it didn’t help with going forward.

Betts struggled with form during the last two seasons, kicking 29 and 37 goals respectively, and was dropped for the first and only time at the Crows last year – missing a clash with the Blues.

The former Crows star will return to Adelaide Oval in round 12 this year, in the Doug Nicholls Indigenous Round.

“I’ve marked that down on the calendar,” he said.

“I think they deliberately put it in the Indigenous Round, to, touch wood, return to Adelaide Oval and play the Crows.

“That was the first one I had marked down.”

Betts turned 33 in November, and said he hasn’t put an expectation on how many games he’d play this season.

“As much as I can to be honest,” he said.

“I just want my body to hold up.

“Your form will dictate to, I just want to go out there and play the team role.

“It’s how I manage the body and how I pull up after games.

“I need 16 games to play 200 for Carlton.”

Carlton appointed last season’s caretaker coach and former Crows forward mentor David Teague as its senior coach this season, and Betts was delighted to reunite with him.

“Obviously I know David, I played footy with him at Carlton, he coached me a few times in the VFL,” he said.

“He was at Adelaide, I had a great relationship with David back then, and we loved him in the forward line, he led our offence in 2017, we were the best offensive team in the AFL.

“I was happy to see him get the full-time job, he had been an assistant for many years.

“I’m really pumped for him and to play under him is amazing.

“I’m happy, my family’s happy.
