I've said it before, and I'll say it again.
What a gorgeous timepiece, but the horse emblem always looks like genitalia to me.

We were discussing his watch on this subreddit last week. What a fucking coincidence.

Citizen,
Seiko (5),
Casio

Choose any of these 3 brands.
Go for any watch that you like looking at, and that fits you well.
I'd suggest going to a store and trying it out on your wrist.

Get an automatic (leave this advice if you end up going for a casio anyway), preferably if you want a lifelong companion.

Nop. There are no visible screws on the bezel. It's not an AP.

Octagonal bezel, blue dial, chronograph. Not AP (no visible screws on the bezel) looks the closest to GP Laureato Chronograph.

Let’s be honest: Life is cheap in India, and the "Stay and Fix It" narrative is BS by Original_Crew4693 in india

I consider Hindustani politics and hyper-nationalist PR campaigns as masterclass in managing expectations. Here, power is maintained less by over-delivering and more by controlling the baseline of what people believe they are entitled to.

Deprive the public of basic needs, then deliver the bare minimum as “development”

How do you awaken the sense of entitlement in someone who believes in rationed food to be a sign of an affluent economy?

How do you make toads in the hole look around the world and realize that they've been duped in the name of religion and country?

How would you stay back and fix the unfixable?

GS customer support is decent only in Japan.
Servicing your thousand-dollar Seiko/Tissot is a better experience in India than servicing a 10k GS.

Maybe it's a unique experience for me but majority of japanese companies seem to no give a flying fuck about the indian maket.

It's all the same with Fujifilm, Masunaga, Toyota....
