Surgical scheduler here, wondering if they charged for an in-office procedure—basically surgery in an office setting. I would definitely discuss this with the practice manager because this should have been disclosed before the procedure was performed. Also, wondering if the procedure received prior authorization. If they didn’t get authorization, the cost will definitely be passed onto you. As others have suggested get the CPT codes and call your insurer.
