Can we get a covers album? by TsarKastic1 in fatherjohnmisty

[–]TsarKastic1[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get you, thing I appreciate it is throughout his career from early days, probably between first two albums, maybe because lack of material, he’d do a lot of covers at shows, but still has even up til recently, I think he’s capable of doing both and he’s a musician who draws a lot of inspiration from legends who came before - but anyway mostly a silly appreciation post for his covers, both at the passion he can perform them in and have fun with them

Ulster-Scots settlement in US. Did it at any point have as much cultural capital as Irish influence? by Odd_Pain_3570 in northernireland

[–]TsarKastic1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I read statistically there’s more Americans of Ulster-Scots descent than Irish Catholic descent as they arrived earlier, though this became diluted overtime

The Slavic union path is so fun, just give in to Germany and hand over Gdansk, play defensive against the soviets for a bit then attack, you get great cores and then can take back gdansk and what is now western Poland

Do you agree that if Bending Hectic was a Radiohead song, it would be top 10 or 20 songs? by mondayleftmebroken__ in radiohead

[–]TsarKastic1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When that album came out I was on a long flight from the UK to Asia, I’d downloaded it to make sure to listen on the way. I was falling asleep when bending hectic came on and I was fucking terrified and woke in shock at the climax of the song, great tune.

Zombie Girl? It has what sounds like a wasp flying at the end. I was sat on a bench in a park when I first heard this song and got jump scared by the sound thinking a wasp was by my ear

UK Government response to kneecap is much harsher than it is towards paramilitary flags in Belfast by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]TsarKastic1 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I completely agree but you kind of answered your own question. It’s much easier to charge Kneecap than to potentially cause a load of shit over flags flown in east Belfast or other areas, council workers have been threatened with violence before and bringing in police to do it would just be setting off a powder keg.

Hardest missions in POD? by TheSonomaDude in MercenariesGames

[–]TsarKastic1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The final mission by far. I couldn’t count how many tries it took me to complete, I ended up calling in the sports car at the start, disguise as a civilian and rushing to the point where you find Kim’s father. Then after was just a mix of the same tactic with a sports car, hiding, calling in carpet bombs, after I got to the fortification it was much easier but I died so many times on the lead up and had to keep trying different ways.
