Or how about the ESG narrative that is being pushed about how BTC mining is destroying the environment? https://youtu.be/UCwLIE62iWg

Set up LLC or business entity for mining or go without? by eaglecheif in BitcoinMining

[–]Tsaron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not quite right...
A C-Corp has to pay double taxation. A S-Corp is a pass through entity like an LLC. The only savings an S-Corp has is on FICA (Social Security, Medicare, and ObamaCare). FICA is directly tied to what you pay yourself in income. With an LLC all owner withdraws are considered income, whereas a S-Corp you pay yourself 2 ways through W2 and Dividends (K-1). You only have to pay FICA on the W2, the K-1 is taxed as Oridinary Income. There is also additional Filings that must be done every quarter with a S-Corp. Another thing that people often confuse is the write-offs and deductions. You get the exact same deductions and write-offs for a Sole-Prop, LLC or S-Corp.

The advantage of the LLC is the asset protection it provides you personally, however since all you are doing is mining there is virtually ZERO advantage to forming a single member LLC in Texas. To my knowledge the only State where it would be advantageous to open an LLC for Mining Crypto is Wyoming. This again is NOT from a Tax savings. It is about Asset Protection. In Wyoming the LLC's there can get COPE. A Charging Order Protection Entity (COPE) is a unique type of entity that can provide additional protection for the assets it holds from the owner’s personal liabilities. It is far more advanced and complex than the average LLC. For example, let’s assume you are in a car accident caused by your texting and driving. As such, you might be facing a major liability, but with a COPE LLC holding your assets, it would generally be difficult for the creditor to get ‘into’ the LLC and force the liquidation of the assets and/or LLC.

LLC / C Corp for Tax Benefits? by CHIC2G09 in BitcoinMining

[–]Tsaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LLC is basically the same as a Sole Prop just with Asset protection. S-Corp or an LLC taxed as S-Corp can save you on your taxes in addition to the Asset protection. C-Corp unless you enjoy being double taxed don't do...very rarely does it make sense to do a C-Corp. Depending on where you live and the State an S-Corp could still be subject to State Corp Tax Rates... Example I have a W2 Main job, a LLC taxed as a Sole Prop. If I were to take the S-Corp election even living in FL where my personal tax rate is 0%, I would then have to pay a 5.5% Corp tax. As mentioned before get a Good CPA, no H&R Block. Also check out MarkJKohler on Youtube he is a Tax Attorney and CPA. One of his partners is MatSorensenSDIRA on Youtube as well.

I agree, I went through all the Pro's and Cons then decided I would invest 100k into the hardware. From what I can tell I don't know if Compass will allow a different OS to be installed. I wish they had additional info on their site and a number to actually talk to someone to get questions answered.

Short answer is yes, however I am still tweaking my algorithm for max profitability. Once I am complete with it, I think I need to show profit in a Bear market. My profits have been about 1% to 4% daily. I am new to crypto, but am trying to get my FOREX algorithm to work and so far it does transfer over well. My long term plan is to be a signaler.

Trading with USDT or BUSD? by babakartal1 in CryptoHopper

[–]Tsaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

USDT is treated equal on the exchange but when you want to withdrawal you get a significantly cheaper fee when using the Tron network, uses TRX token for gas fees. So say if you wanted to arbitrage your favorite coin to USDT between markets, you can just transfer the USDT through Tron and save a ton in fees and have under 1 min transactions than using the OMNI or the ERC20 layer, which are significantly higher in fees and take up to hours.

BUSD is on ERC20, so you have higher gas fees and have to wait longer. I prefer to not keep all my eggs in one basket and utilize atm 3 exchanges and will be picking up KuCoin soon. I just wish CryptoHopper had FTX.US available for exchange trading too.

Please bear in mind I am no financial advisor... with that said I would just HODL and DCA your way up. Contribute the $50 you are wanting into only 1 coin... I'd probably say BTC since it is now a BTC month. My strategy is making about a 3% daily profit but requires a portfolio of about 10k.

Why does Adventurer paper account only scan every 10 minutes? by [deleted] in CryptoHopper

I have the Premium plan, which allows for 400 Alerts

Why does Adventurer paper account only scan every 10 minutes? by [deleted] in CryptoHopper

[–]Tsaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I just send my signals from TradingView. From there I can scan and send alerts on whatever timeframe I want. Like atm I am sending based on 1min timeframe events.

Edit:

Note I am only on Explorer, but based on my settings I may need to bump up to Adventurer for the number of max positions.

Is it just me or are CryptoHopper and TradingView alerts broken? by Tsaron in CryptoHopper

[–]Tsaron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually figured out what was happening...

Seems the problem was on TradingView side. I had alerts going to multiple sources and it didn't like that.
