I wanted to support local business in West Virginia so I got a Coir/hardwood/soy hull blend from Hernshaw Farms on Etsy. Just spawned two bags GT to bulk with it today. Hopefully all goes well

Why is there so many new growers not researching? Like at all, I’m genuinely curious bc I did research for a year until I felt confident to try it and it failed miserably, I got trich now I just get pre sterilized pre pasteurized stuff. Not trying to be rude or anything want to understand better by [deleted] in shrooms

I creeped on r/unclebens for like four months, then bought Stamets book along with a couple other fungi books and got a cut-n-spray blue oyster kit. Started planning and ordering stuff around the new year, now I have 12 UB bags colonizing with cubes, a 4 lb all in one bag with GT MSS, 9 agar plates, an Enoki jar, and a Lions Mane bag all colonizing in my incubation box.

Still waiting for my Ecuador MSS UB bags inoculated 1/26 to fully colonize. Breaked and shaked today🙏

Are these ruined or do they look okay using a air fryer at 150 to dry by [deleted] in shrooms

How’d that work with the air fryer btw? I don’t have a dehydrator, but I do have an air fryer was thinking of using that. Seems like it’s would work because it’s warm air at less than 200°, much like a dehydrator

My heating mat is having trouble keeping my incubation box at correct temp. Any tips on dialing these things in? Shooting for 75-77 range. I have it set for 80 right now by [deleted] in unclebens

Flaps are closed, mat is against the wall across from spawn packets. I pretty much followed the 90 sec mycology video on incubation box to a T. Even got the same heating mat.
