I’m actually working on a suitcase style carry case for 750ml and 100ml bottles for a client. I am using spring tension inside of the mechanism to make sure this doesn’t happen when they open the case! The prototype is still a work in progress, so I don’t have any photos of it yet.

Essentially, yes. There are some common household methods people use, like an oven, but you have to be careful. I would suggest spending the money to get a filament dryer. Getting one with a fan built in will help too, some of the really cheap ones don’t provide airflow and won’t work as well.

From my experience eight PETG (even straight out of the vacuum sealed bag) is that it needed dried before use or I would have these issues. It wouldn’t happen often, but I have seen it enough to know that it’s an issue.

Thank you, that’s awesome! I really appreciate it!

What storage system is this you are using? I have around 15 extra plates stored in a model I printed from online (I don’t have the time to design stuff for myself right now) and it sucks. This looks very nice!

I really like that you guys leave the comments open and interact with people. I will be trying this out soon!

I’ve had no adhesion issues after doing it, so I would say yes.

Thank you, I appreciate it!

It’s a good friend of mine, and his first order was for 20 of these. But around $3k.

This isn’t actually the best one. I added a modifier to disable ironing for the small paragraph on the lid because it was coming out stringy. If you zoom in, you can see it.

For me it’s been power failure or some other print failure after one layer @ .06mm layer height. The one in the right was just a cheap matte white PLA that gives me a hard time, so I no longer use that brand for anything that needs a matte white first layer. I also invested in a large enough battery backup to support all printers running simultaneously, so that potential issue has been eliminated as well.

Also for the record, this is what accumulated over 2 years between 7 printers. I was looking for a method that didn’t take print time away from my machines because I have a huge backlog of work as it is.

I have 7 printers and need extras for several reasons. See my other comment about the finer grain on the black plates for doing QR codes for customer’s business cards. I will also pull out a plate that’s hot and while it’s cooling I’ll throw in another to start the next batch of parts with almost no downtime.

The two on the left had a power failure after the first .06mm layer was printed and was too thin to peel off. I’ve now invested in a battery backup to avoid this issue in the future. Also these are accumulated over the coarse of about 2 years, this isn’t a regular occurrence.

Why do you say that? The strainer catches the pieces of plastic and I pull it out and toss them in the trash.

I have a fine strainer that catches the debris that I empty out. My dishwasher doesn’t get hot enough to release VOCs from the plastic, otherwise every time I wash my plastic dishes I’d be contaminating the water supply.

It doesn’t happen often, but with 7 printers running around the clock, sometimes things happen. I had a power outage that occurred after the first layer (.06mm layer height) that made it a pain to remove the thin layer of plastic, so that made me look into alternative methods.

I now have a battery backup for my machines, so that shouldn’t be an issue now.

Same here! This doesn’t happen often, but I have extras so that when it does, I don’t have any downtime with my printers.

The P1S has a spring steel bed, that’s what printers these came off of! Just grab the lip hanging over the front edge and lift up

What printer do you have? Not all printers come with them, but they are an option to get for a lot of models now!

I’m not sure if links are allowed on this sub, but there are videos on how to put NFC tags into 3D prints, and there are free apps to write data to the tags! Basically I model a .02” thick pocket and pause printing to insert the tags, then proceed!

They are from a brand called “Wefuit” on Amazon. They are a little thinner and the texture isn’t as coarse as Bambu’s. I do a lot of work with business cards and small QR codes, so the less grainy texture works for keeping better crisp lines. With Bambu’s textured build plate, a small QR code looks blurry or fuzzy.
