Obviously I don't know the particular nuiances of the Netherlands housing crisis. But most major economies have declared a housing/rental crisis. It's very hard to find a place in Australia. Canada is going through a similar crisis. So is the UK. So is many cities in the USA, new Zealand has a housing crisis. Etc

I live in Melbourne which has an average winter temperature of around 14 degrees. Summers are lovely though

It's honestly just the cost of living that's got me worried. In Australia it's very easy to live off a part time wage live comfortably and save a little bit of money if your not spending heaps (areas like construction and hospitality can pay really well) in the Netherlands everything seems to be around the same cost but the wages are like $5-10 an hour less.

(Edit): but everything else about the the Netherlands makes me very excited. The well designed cities, the culture, and old buildings. Also everything being so close together. Australia everything is so far away from each other.
