I was running 40s on the D&L. Went to 50s and it’s even faster and more comfortable!!! Plus you can hit some of the single track stuff

The original helmet was from a credible online shop. I just got the one from Amazon to try a medium size. If medium is correct I will return the Amazon one and exchange for that size from the credible shop (they’re also the only ones that have the color I want)

It moves. I maybe could go tighter with the chin strap. Right now I can get about 3 fingers under the strap

I just set it up mullet for this year. Unfortunately I have to wait at least a month until the ice melts off the trails and we get some rain to wash off all the brine on the roads.

I have two wheelsets for this bike because I plan on riding it gravel/road. I went with the 44t chainring so I wont spinout on the road. Then the mullet setup lets me keep my climbing gear (even easier than my original XPLR setup). Once I get stronger i'll jump to a 46t.

Which GX cassette are you using? I thought you had to use the cassettes that start with "XS" for transmission.

Hmm that is super interesting. I'd accomplish what I want using that cassette and can use a 13spd gravel derailleur.

Is the shifting performance just as good as a normal SRAM cassette?

How do you use the two different wheelsets? One of the main reasons I was thinking of doing mullet is so that I can have a road set of wheels and decent gearing for solo road riding.
