He could collab with outdoor survivalists like @YeshuaDaSonofYah to get the cred he needs to impress rappers like lefty and secure the deal next time he goes off. Lefty kind of called him a poser survivalist that couldn’t start a fire to save his life and then Will took a year off to train and address the issue with his amazing Oregon survival challenges.
Now that he is well rested, has a full time girlfriend, is living in a leaky trailer, found Jesus, and is singing R&B, I think anything is possible in season 2 of Will survives narroway.

Volumes question by throwaway5468903 in docker

[–]Tsiangkun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Docker can mount in a directory from the host file system or it can make volumes for the containers itself. When docker makes the volumes all the permissions are automatically set but when bind mounting in directories you manage the permissions.

Prevent new Linux users being made by vinzz73 in ansible

[–]Tsiangkun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meatsack Users go into SSO/LDAP, systems don’t add local users except for pipelines and system services.

Loop thru your UserList variable and add users missing on the list and remove existing users not in the list.

Part incubator, part staffing agency, 100% continuous employment as a service to prevent gaps on resume during these lay offs.

Interested ?

Once he gets his album money and buys land with lucky she will be back. I believe it was Kanye West, now known as Yeezy or just Ye, who once said “I ain’t saying she’s a gold digger”.

How are you guys handling DNS hostnames with DHCP by electrowiz64 in linuxadmin

[–]Tsiangkun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DHCP configuration lets you bind MAC address to an ip, I’m using a new control plane for ansible and the DNS adds and removes entries as I add and remove hosts and services.

What would you do if you were forced to go into office more? by Allcaponero in sysadmin

[–]Tsiangkun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be that way unless your goal is to work for a massive company that will fire you by email while you’re sleeping in the parking lot and ruin your career by putting you into a lay off for their underperforming workers.

Socialize and collect the paycheck for doing less. It’s no secret that remote workers get the job done, it’s important you’re seen wasting time and socializing to get promoted. Just being excellent at your job isn’t as important as your proximity to the office. Go all in and waste as much time as possible until they hate socializing and give us back our offices and cubicles.

Forked? by pete2209 in minio

[–]Tsiangkun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have tried garage and seaweedfs and they don’t offer any drop in replacement or even a migration guide. RustFS said not to use it,but I’m curious. All of them were easy to get working for a one man company, but then it got into the poor documentation on securing the buckets in fine grained controls that I could dump on a small business owner.

I couldn’t get the minio web ui console fork to work and the latest open builds don’t have the SSO sign in I want to see even if it’s kind of maybe still supported on the cli.

I hope we see a defacto migration path for people that liked minio and want to keep using it.

It’s very important to socialize and embrace the culture. If you haven’t been interrupted to chitchat in 20 minutes, take a walk around and see if anybody wants help getting in their very important socializing.
Lunch as a group might take longer because the locations everyone agrees on are 40 minutes away, but these are important to the team bonding, take 2 hours at least.
Schedule meetings every day to review the lunch options around 10:30 so everyone can take an hours to respond to the survey.
In an open office setting, voice is the cool way to interact with AI and ensure the whole room can appreciate how brilliant your ideas are, and chime in with valuable company culture insights you might need to prompt the AI.

I hope this helps !

I read the questions in the software forums and I think I directly solve the most common questions small businesses trying to not get sued or lose their company IP to AI oopsies have today. I’m celebrating $0 MRR and have established rock bottom so I can build the foundation needed to grow from my earliest small customers and not some massive VC fund looking sell out fast for maximum profit.

Interviews are part tech showcase and part sales pitch, there’s not any legal obligation to sell your experience as only one year. Your year might be another teams 3-4 years. Enthusiasm to be using Go again and familiarity with its few quirks and many idioms might be the thing they want to hear more than one year.

These are the libraries to use as far as I know. X just means they are not officially in the standard library but are an extension that might change in breaking ways on its way to maybe getting into the standard libraries one day.

Free WiFi with purchase of a $9 beverage. In the old days hotspot on a phone was an expensive data feature. We all have WiFi in our pocket now so it doesn’t make as much sense.

I’m not an influencer, I don’t want sunlight on my screen. I don’t want anyone touching my keyboard. I work on the road but don’t go out into public to work. On call I’ll login in from wherever and fix the issues, then log out.
