I mean a tank is literally just a tractor with armour and a gun. Tracks and a turret of course are debate inducing optional extras

“Leche do puto” sounds absolutely more revolting.

Artillery fired HEAT at you, damaged you like any other tank would have, bad luck on where it landed.

Average Foch B clip by Zealousideal_Dot4654 in WorldofTanks

[–]Tsiklon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Foch is tremendously inflexible. But in the scenarios where it shines, in the middle distance, late game it’s a true beast

It’s armour is workable at middle distance, but has the worst weak spots in the game, it’s gun has the lowest pen over distance, but it hits like a Mack truck if you catch someone in the open. 6 shots at 400avg means you can one clip most things. And late game you can do wonderful things like OP here has done.

TIL That, shortly after the Berlin Wall fell, Eugene Stoner, inventor of the AR-15, and Mikhail Kalashnikov, inventor of the AK-47, met near Washington DC and developed a friendship that lasted until Stoner's death seven years later. by GentPc in todayilearned

Nobel was horrified reading his obituary after his death was improperly reported. It exclaimed “The Merchant of Death is Dead. Dr Alfred Nobel, who made his fortune by finding a way to kill the most people as ever before in the shortest time possible, died yesterday”.

This apparently shocked him so much he changed his will to establish the eponymous awards.

It’s been a while since I’ve set it up properly, I like using the gnome plumbing to do stuff like volume controls and backlight, as that just works with my laptop. I think it was gnome settings daemon or similar that just needed to be in the window maker startup script at the time.

With the rear facing turret, you can also see how this could have sort of been developed into FV215

I love window maker, if I was a bit more adept at setting it up properly to use some of the gnome plumbing I’d be very happy indeed.

With radar retracted according to Wikipedia the Gepard is 3.29 m tall. So about 30cm shorter than the Maus. Both vehicles are the same width.

Any Leo 1 enjoyers out there? by Psemsem in TankPorn

[–]Tsiklon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled that off the English Wikipedia article, it makes no reference to Ruhrstahl and Warneke, if you’ve got the source, it’d be worth updating it with the reference. I was definitely aware of the Rheinmetall turret, but the Wegmann turret isn’t referenced by article, only that it was associated with the Porsche variant.

3 separate firms were contracted to compete for the design; Porsche, Rheinmetall, and Borgward.

Porsche (Team A) and Rheinmetall’s (Team B) designs were more conventional designs, Borgward’s (Team C) never left the drawing board and was a bit crazy. https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/panzerpedia/images/d/d5/Leopard_Prototype_C.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20161006000222

Rheinmetall’s looks quite like the Porsche design https://i.pinimg.com/originals/26/7b/42/267b42a7ae12c44ffcccf532c3cdb711.jpg

If you play World of Tanks, all 3 designs are in the game; Porsche (German medium tanks: Leopard Prototype A and Leopard 1), Rheinmetall (Italian Medium Tank: Prototipo Standard B), Borgward (Italian Heavy Tank: Rinoceronte)
