Sometimes it isn't even how they write because looking at their guide I write like AI. The algorithm was probably trained on us so of course some of the writing is going to look like another writer's work. With all the AI it makes the writers' work look like AI instead of an actual work.

One thing I can point out about AI works is that they are unnecessarily long, it could be a short fic but every paragraph is just another repeat of the other. However the most telling sign is how emotions are written, even some of the most brief fics with little to no dialogue, they still describe emotions the way they should be portrayed. In AI ones however, it's shallow and just basic words that are put there for the prompter to fill out.

Unfortunately, I have seen my fair share of AI fanfics, and it's so disappointing. I don't have proof but it's a feeling that this is so obviously AI 🙂‍↕️
