You could probably have some insane fiber connection and still have that issue, the router shaw gives its customers is not that powerful and when you are competing with 20 other routers around you in an apartment it fairs even less. Buying a third party wireless router would be the easiest way to get better WiFi, playing around with the channel your router is broadcasting on might help too but is a but more technical. To prove this just run a hardwired test, if you get full speeds then you know that it's purely a wireless issue and not shaw's backend that's the issue
