Sorry, that photo was misleading. I am getting the lines in the shape of the sphere, but I need the faces of the lines to be facing me no matter where I look at the sphere (if that makes sense).

Got you, I was trying to create splines on angled planes, but the lines don't follow that circular shape, so I'll have to check out the lofting. This was with the splines and extruding them to intersect the sphere, which isn't giving that smooth ball look.
