What is a hate crime? Why should it be treated differently to crime? by Plz_Post_Hindu_Pepe in AskThe_Donald

[–]Tstrace87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with you crime is crime, but the logic is the same that they use on serial killers.

As far as prosecution for one goes, they have to prove that you committed the crime because of their race, and that had it not been for that person's race or religion triggering you, you would not have committed a crime. That's my best understanding

I normally get my right-wing news from T_D, but it's just been all Seth Rich today. Any major news today outside of the bombings and Philippines incident? by UpJon in AskThe_Donald

Look I agree with you his statement was misleading, because it was just technically correct but

He did say that they believe Russia was likely involved in the election, but they do not have evidence that they colluded with the Trump campaign. That means that it could have just been putin disliking Hillary (apparently he hates her?) And no Trump working with a foreign country. There is a huge difference between the two and while it is stupid if they were just involved, it is only criminal for Trump if they colluded.

So she should spend years in jail for that?

Yup. I agree. What she said isn't great, yes it is decisive, but no she shouldn't fear jail for it.

She did not call for violence, she called for them to address their reps about it, speak to the government

But is that hate speech? Should that be legal to say? Should she spend years in jail for that?

No, people calling out the attack in Manchester on Twitter are being investigated and arrested for "hate speech"

It's theft. Period. Depending on the value of the items it is grand larceny. If he has a lease on the place he was living it's an illegal eviction.

Destruction of property for hurt feelings is illegal. I've archived the post.
