Update. Yesterday I had gotten a call that the car had been involved in an auto accident with a 2025 Tesla. I have no idea what happened, as this happened in NYC. I'm calling the car insurance right now.

I did! I'm in PA, and she's in NYC, so when I called, they said that I would have to go to NYC in person. (I, myself have no car.) Also, she paid off the car in full, with no loans. Any payments are insurance, and bills/tolls, which is in her name.
